Hey thanks. I used to end up on 60mins, but I've gradually cut down resting so I now spend about 45-50 mins. How about you?ironwill wrote:Nice job on the workout. How long do your workouts generally take?

Hmm I like the sound of that. Do you use no oil at all in it? I suspect I pass daily fat dose by a good amount with pan frying and nuts. I love nuts (no, not those), I eat them 2-3 times a day.feelin-great wrote:I have a grill pan - it's like a regular pan but it has the grooves in it so you get the effect of grilling. I use it for everything

Yuh, something about 47 min. and the start of lactic acid buildup, somehow is bad. I don't really understand it, but thats what I've read. So I try to keep them, same as you 45-50 min. I've been supersetting (push/pull) the last few workouts, and it speeds things up, and keeps the heart beating. It's challenging, but I like it.....seems more intense, and less waiting around....Fygle wrote:Hey thanks. Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
Indeed, I love supersets too! challenge is fitting suitable exercises together with limited equipment, so sometimes I end up with pairs that might not work together that well. At least I save time, and maybe gain some type of positive effect from it.
Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
I think it adds a cardio effect, I know I'm sweating' and the old ticker is pounding pretty good. I had never tried them with fullbody before, but lik'n it. Of course, I enjoy the 60 sec. rest when it's time for it....

Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
Lunges are ruff, I prefer step-ups, but do both. The whole balance thing, and the glutes get hit reaaalllly good, which is a total benefit. wife does donkey-kicks, I'm like do lunges, put some weight on, you get a round, lifted tush, but yea lov'n the supersets. I feel stronger with fb than with splits....go figure.Lesplease wrote:I do them w fb allll the tiiiime. Except lunges. Those bad boys wear. me. out!

Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
I figure doing 8-12 of them with some weight should develop more glute muscle than 100 DK's....but I don't think she agrees......

Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
Exactly, "if I lift a weight, I'm gonna be so jacked I won't be able to move"....

Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
ouch!!!!! Just alot of women think they will get huge just by lifting once, but it's not that easy, though some of us wish it was. Your point is very true lifting weights make your parts look great, and your not huge, and still feminine.

Re: Fygle's road to mass gain
How about eating food that promotes testosterone? I don't know too much about it, but I know watermelon, eggs and beef does. Shouldn't get too hairy from eating that

Cardio day:
10 min slow jog warmup > 2x 45 sec sprints > 1 mile lap.
Busy day! Work > nap > dance show with niece > cardio > babysit. Barely time to get workout clothes dry enough to jog and squeeze in a workout. New record on 1 mile, 6:09! That's 15 secs off the previous record
Getting close to the 6min mark...
Have a nice weekend folks!
