Find your pulse on your neck using your first two fingers, then use your watch, or a timer - for 15 seconds count your pulse beats, then take that number and times it by 4 to get your HR.

he has quite a distinct style, unusual voice too....and yes, he is easy on the eyes.

who's your favorite now that Pia is gone, Lu?

No I said the loser would be buying and as I'm not participating, I cannot possibly be the loser.

Cheeky begger

Don't feel too dissapointed. All that means, is that that individual potentially won't end up making more money than you'll ever know, on a big money contract where they appear on other peoples music :P :P.

I've tried it but I can't seem to find a pulse - LOL Seriously...maybe fingers don't receive well or something :?

I thought Paul did Maggie May perfectly and he is a cutie, wonderful smile - he's a Rod Stewart kind of guy with a very unique voice, but I figured either him or Stefano should've been eliminated this week. Agree on Stefano.

Lauren - she has raw talent - she will be a very famous singer someday , something akin to Carrie Underwood, maybe better. She's young, hopefully she makes good song choices and maintains her confidence.

Pia will make it - she has an incredible voice and she'll make a ton of $$$. However they all make far too much money, I mean, how much does one need?

Oh darn, and we were going to stop by and see you on our way to Madrid too!

Thanks~! As a Consultant for Jockey Person to Person I was at a party tonight and the hostess had tons of desserts out from puffs to Italian pastry, eclairs..OMG I was stunned by the variety and amount of wonderfully decadent things - and I DID NOT EAT ANY OF THEM! I brought a salad that I ate before the party go going, and Greek Yogurt for later, a bottle of water and a bag of green tea. I knew if I ate one I would've eaten  20!

Hahaha~! No fair! :( But what she had was BETTER than Cheez - Its :) Nope, I'm in this to win~ :!: Hit 167.8 this morning...I know, I'm obsessed with weighing myself - I think I'll just update Current Weight in Profile....heck, I'll probably keep posting - LOL

Tonight though we are going out with some good friends to dinner. We've been to this restaurant before and I'll have the Chicken Marsala with veggies, no bread, no alcohol....damn, I might as well stay home! LOL Nah - it'll be fun. I'll be happy to have that meal again, it was delicious last time we went! A nice change from all chicken dishes. It might be a little off diet, who knows how they cook it, but it'll be ok for 1 night.

Have a great day!

That's the best way to go out to dinner - to know in advance what is on the menu and what you will be ordering! If I know what I want I don't even look at the menu, and that takes the temptation of getting something unhealthy out of the equation :D

Oh yeah - opening that menu can do lots of damage to your willpower - I've read a book that says Chicken Marsala is one of the preferred meals on menu's when you go out to eat. This particular one was so good, and we really didn't feel like we were lacking by not having all the rest of the "unhealthy" stuff. I must admit that big bowl of warm bread knots and sticks in the middle of the table was very tempting but we didn't cave - we are determined and of course NOW I have this competition! ;)

I did great all day, and all through dinner at Bellini's in North Haven - wonderful fare! :) I fell a bit though when we got back to friends house and one of the couples brought homemade PB/Choc Oat bars...just a bit of chocolate spread over the top with peanut butter, still only a light spread, but I just HAD to have 1. Not allowed on this cycle but this one blip won't be downfall. Today ate everything I was suppose to - made another huge batch of veggie soup (more like stew) which we had for dinner with a baked breast of chicken. Lunch was a salad, breakfast 2 eggs and a pear. Snack was 1 cup fresh blueberries with 1 cup of Kefir (I like it poured over the berries and I eat it with a spoon) One more snack in a few minutes of plain Greek Yogurt with 1 package of Truvia. Lot's of water...and of course 3 cups of Pomegranate Green Tea.

Today's Workout

Warmed up with 50 Windmills - also did chiropractor prescribed exercises.

Squat/Jump w medicine ball 2 x 30
Incline Flyes 2 x 30, 8 lb DB's
Lat Pulldowns - 2 x 20, 50 lbs
Lunges, front and reverse - 2 x 10
Squats - 2 x 10, 95 lbs.
1 more exercise and mind has drawn a blank to what it's called...ut oh, senility setting in  Real easy one too...oh well, no biggie...

Hope you all had a great day!

amatlack wrote:I just bought some vanilla-flavored stevia thinking that I'd use that in Greek yogurt instead of almond butter & maple syrup...all I have to say is BLECH. Maybe it's just not the right stuff or something, but it was gross. The stevia couldn't overpower the sour of the yogurt and it just tasted like sour + aspartame.
Have you tried Truvia? It's not bad....makes the plain yogurt almost taste good ;)

I tried "Stevia" and agree with you - Bleck! Truvia is completely different - you should try it.

How much almond butter and maple syrup do you put in your yogurt? I'll have to try it :) Oops, can't try it this cycle :(

If you find the 5 inches you could sell them on e-bay :P.

Seller is offering 5 inches of body fat no longer needed. Would be suitable for medical research purposes. Minimum bids $1 per inch.
