I hear ya there - I threw half of sandwich away at lunch today because I am so burned out on them I couldn't choke another bite down :? I need to start bringing salads every other day or something.

I'm glad you like the Sun Dried tomato dressing. i use it in everything. :D
You have to celebrate the positives :) Way to fight the temptations! I may have to try this Sun Dried Tomato dressing, sounds scruptious!

I hear you! I like tuna salad sandwiches (not eating them now) but tuna on a salad isn't fave - I do love though :) BUT, when I get sick of that combination (and I do!) I tend to pull a yogurt (greek most of the time) out of the fridge and pile fresh fruit and sunflower seeds on it and make that meal. I feel like I've treated myself :) Then later I'd make a chicken or turkey burger (something you can't make at work) and a pile of Broccolli! I sometimes use those 100 Cal Thin Sandwich Buns, but if feel I've had too much bread I skip it.

I have to say again I love your posts Lynne - you are so deliciously descriptive I feel like I'm right there with you - if you wrote a book, I'd buy it! :):)

Thanks Lu! If I ever write one, I'll be sure to send you one! Actually I had a poem published many years ago in a book of poetry - some contest I entered. I never got the book because they wanted $30 for it, and I was single then and on a very tight budget. :?

2nd workout for today:
25 jumping jacks
2x15 stability ball jacknife crunches
2x30 sec. stability ball planks - elbows balanced on stability ball rather than floor (harder than regular planks :shock: )
1x10x2 Resistance Band Lunge w/glute lift extension - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtpnHgMm ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
2x25 Resistance Band Bicycles - arms overhead - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WsC5ezo ... re=channel" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
2x8 Stability Ball hand walking rollout w/pushups (2 rollouts w/8 pushups each)
2x12 resistance bands bicep curls
2x12 resistance bands overhead press
2x12 rev. crunches

Jocelyn got me motivated to dig out resistance bands and stability ball. Great change up - and a great workout too! :D

I am a bit upset with myself today...I did not get out the door this a.m. for early run. Ugh! I don't know what is wrong with me, but brain at 9 p.m. has great expectations and willpower and can easily see myself getting up and out the door before dawn, but brain at 5 a.m. does not see things exactly the same! I've been working an extra 2 hours a day lately to help out, plus I did an evening workout last night, then helped husband level the ground so we can put up our pool, and bagged up a bunch of old tarps and yard trimmings that wore me out even more. I still thought I would get up this a.m., but when alarm went off I fell back asleep, then second alarm went off (the one where i have to get up and get ready for work - no more time for workouts) and I finally got up, felt stiff and sore. Went outside to check the weather and of course it was another beautiful morning about 47 degrees, what amounts to PERFECT running weather! :roll: aaarrrgggghhh!
So now game plan is to do an HIIT treadmill workout this evening w/planks and crunches and core work. No excuses...it WILL happen.
sorry if i sounded a bit whiney in post...i hate sounding whiney..even just saying this sounds a bit whiney! geezz. :roll:

You don't sound like you are whining, just had a rough morning! Maybe it was just your body telling you to take it easy this morning. I don't know too many people who can drag themselves out of bed every morning to workout so you are way ahead of most people there :D So one day of sleeping in certainly isn't going to hurt you, you obviously needed the rest!

Thanks Joc, I know I probably needed the rest...I just get nervous, cause I have so much weight to lose, and I hate wasting an opportunity to banish some of those fat cells!! :lol:

Last night dinner was different, but good. I baked 2 of those Gorton's Grilled Tilapia fillets - Lemon Pepper flavor and I topped them with some homemade fresh pico gallo w/diced tomato, onion, cilantro & avocado. OMGosh! It was good, and that's all I ate, it filled me up. 2 fillets is only 200 calories and 6 grams fat
Lunch was a little tastier today. I brought some of that pico gallo w/diced tomato, onion, cilantro & avocado & mixed it in with LF Cottage Cheese and tuna. Lots of black pepper...WaLa! yummy. No mixed nuts in it today - saved a few fat grams there, although the avocado probably had some, but hopefully not 16 grams like the nuts!! :D

Mmmmmm (we need a smilie that shows licking your lips :lol: ) - is that all you put in it? I keep telling myself I am going to make some but I haven't taken the time to figure out what to use! I used to eat salsa on chicken (I baked it in the oven) but the purchased stuff isn't as good as homemade.

yes, that is it. Just dice up about 1/2 of a tomato, or 1 Roma tomato, a bit of onion - I used purple onion this time, but green onion works good too, or yellow. Chop up some fresh cilantro and dice up an avocado then toss together. Sometimes I mash up the avocado and make guacamole out of it, but last night I just wanted it all diced, and I think I liked it better that way for a topping. If you are brave and have a strong stomach, then jalapeno's are good in it too, and a splash of lemon juice to keep it from turning a disgusting brown color. :shock:

Another beautiful morning run! A little warmer with a few low lying clouds, but still awesome. Directly across the horizon from the sunrise was the moon, full and huge in the lower WSW sky - spectacular!
Morning workout:
4.0 mile run - ran it almost 2 minutes faster than earlier this week. :D
25 tuckcrunches (thanks Fygle!!)
25 reverse crunches

Have a great day everyone! :D Off to work I go...
