HAHA......finally getting caught up a little. Just read about ur run. Great job BTW......and nice job keeping ur composure. Talk about throwing fuel on the fire. I can just see you back there steaming ahead thinking "you lil..........nice lady, wait til I catch....." you have made so many strides ahead, so much progress to show for ur time. UR doing wonderfully, and will run her over in time. It is nice she was able to gain motivation from you encouraging her in the past.

You will and are already Lu! I'm really following in YOUR footsteps as you were the first person here at Shapefit that I admired and was so motivated by your journey and your progress. I remember when I saw your profile pic I thought "Wow, that is one strong tough lady!!" So...thank you Lu! For being the stand out role model for me when i first started and I'm sure for countless others on this site you may never know about. :D

Yes, it is nice, and I have to say in her defense that I don't think she really meant it in a sarcastic way - but was just checking on me since it was the first time I had ran the trail with her and the rest of the runners - but in oxygen deprived mind at the time, I used it to fuel energy to keep me going. :D
Thanks guys for all your words of encouragement and support! You guys rock!!!! :D

:D Thanks Brent!! :D

And Noosk, it may take a few more pounds til I need to buy new jeans...and I still have smaller ones in the closet that I used to fit in...but they may not be in style any more!! I think 80's acid washed jeans with holes in the thighs and knees are out of style - hey! maybe I can bring them back!! I can just hear son..."you are not gonna wear those pants, Momma, at least not anywhere with me, or in front of friends or anywhere someone might see you that knows me..." hahaha!!

You know, I have been seeing a lot of those in stores lately - maybe they have already made a comeback - they say all styles come back every 20 years or so

Thanks guys! :D

Saturday was a rest day.

Today's workout:

6.2 mile outdoor street run.
2x1minute front planks
2x30sec.x2 side planks

Really felt good today, not stressed, kept a good steady pace - the miles passed by pretty easily - ran for just over 1 hour. :D
Beautiful day here in Texas :D the sky is a deep blue, temps in the low 70's - perfect day.
I think we are going for a ride later in hubby's jeep - put the top down, listen to some tunes. Good stuff. 8)
Have a great day everyone! :D

You're a great rolemodel yourself and you have done so well to achieve everything, through good hard honest endeavour, instead of pointless products and procedures and you've proven how well you can do, when it comes to the old long-distance stuff. You definitely deserve your medals.

You can be very proud of yourself, because you're a pretty amazing Lady :).

WELL DONE.

Thanks Boss Man! :D

Great morning run.
4 miles - Brisk pace
Beautiful sunrise. The sky was awesome...with hues of orange and blue & wispy clouds dancing in the glow. What a way to start the day. :D
Felt good, alot stronger. Climbing the hills easier and keeping a little quicker pace. It's all good!!

Have a great day everyone. :P

Lynne - you do more than most people BEFORE work than they do AT work! You are one amazing woman!

How's the food going - I tried Sun Dried Tomato Dressing (only 25 cal vs 70-100) I think I saw you mention using something like that - it was GREAT! I loved it! I also made Protein Bars with a little less chocolate in them - still very good. Trying to tweak everything......

Hi Lu! thanks for the kind words..I think you are pretty amazing too! :D
food is an ongoing struggle. main problem is falling short on calories but still being high in fat grams - because of almonds and PB. One serving of almonds and one serving of PB equals 33 fat grams total, and I'm only supposed to have 39 grams in a day! If I throw a couple of LF cheese sticks in there I'm over the limit. I still get confused as to "healthy fats" and if it ok to have more of those, as long as I'm not having bad fats - like butter, grease, fatty meats, etc. So macros always look really off kilter.
I just couldn't eat another bite of cottage cheese and tuna for lunch today, I've been having that almost every day at lunch. It's easy to bring and easy to eat on lunch hour - but I'm getting burned out on it. I was going to bring a big lettuce leaf with some deli lunch meat rolled up together, but that didn't sound good either. So i ended up going and buying a chef salad with all the toppings & ff ranch dressing, but it had croutons on it and fake bacon bits - so I'm sure it was high in fat - ugh!
But on the bright side - when i went in to order chef salad I had to stand in front of the buffet line - full of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, macaroni and cheese, rolls, apple and pear cobbler - I stared at it, and watched as others had their plates piled high - I just kept thinking how badly that would set me back and run this a.m. would have been in vain. But geezz that cobbler looked gooooooood!!! I think i may have gained 2 lbs. just standing near it!  I was proud of myself when I ordered the chef salad instead. 8)
I'm glad you like the Sun Dried tomato dressing. i use it in everything. :D
