Thanks for replies they are greatly appreciated. I should have said to begin with I do weight training 5 days a week. I have been following the Intermediate routines for 5 days a week that are provided on here. I would like to do whatever cardio is most beneficial to me.

I injured left knee a few years ago and have significant pain after doing a lot of walking. I have found the elliptical machine to be a lot easier on knee; however, I have recently read that using an elliptical machine is not recommended because it burns sugar not fat.
