Reminds me of German Volume Training, which a fairly good program to increase muscle mass. Can be researched on bodybuilding.com or similar sites.

Jump rope
Yes, jump ropes can be quite intense, but the rope itself needs to be very fast. Just don't get a weighted rope as they are quite slow and are, strength-wise, questionable at best. The crossfit experiment
I just wanted to pudate on previous post. I have lost 4lb since that time and lifts have improved significantly. I am particularly pleased with work capacity and pull ups (went up from 4 to 12). Great program, but kicks your every time. I will try to up the calories and see if it works for size gain...
