Re: Running with Pronated ankle
It's really, really frustrating me now. I don't really know what to do because I felt like the swelling was going down but now it's back up again. I was trying to rest as much as possible. I only work on Thursdays and Fridays. I have a Fitbit watch and on an average day while I've been trying to res...

Re: Running with Pronated ankle
The trainers I have are by Karrimor http://www.sweatshop.com/karrimor-duma-2-girls-running-shoes-217143?colcode=21714303" target="_blank They are actually kids trainers (I have small feet) but didn't realise at the time of buying. They were only cheap as I didn't want to spend lots in case...

Re: Running with Pronated ankle
Thank you. I got xray results back today and it was all clear so perhaps just a sprain. I really don't want to have to stop running again because of an injury but then I don't want to spend over £100 if it's not absolutely necessary so I think for now the plan is, wait for ankle to heal properly (th...

Running with Pronated ankle
Just wondered how important special trainers are if you run with your ankles rolling in slightly? I went to a sports shop the other day and they watched me run on the running machine and I could see that they do roll out slightly. He suggested some extra supportive insoles - but these were £45!!! - ...

Re: Ankle pain
Thanks, I've been doing some pilates to try and keep me going. I think what I'm actually running on is tarmac. I could run on the grass but it's so muddy at the moment, I'd probably end up creating another injury from slipping! I haven't run since Sunday and I think I'll lay off until Monday and hav...

Re: Ankle pain
I don't feel like I roll ankles nor put pressure to one side of ankle but perhaps I do. I've never paid too much attention. No previous injuries. I'm not using orthotics although I did used to have some so I'll have to see if I can dig them out. I was wondering if an ankle brace/support would help m...

Ankle pain
Hi I'm 34 and have just started running. I used to run about 10-15 years ago but I just hated it so stopped - plus I was rubbish and could barely run a mile. No idea why, I'd say I was way fitter then than I am now as I used to go to the gym a lot back then. Up until the past couple of weeks, I bare...
