Try setting specific goals for yourself.... "I want to lose 10lbs by X date", "I want to fit into favourite jeans that I used to wear 3 years ago" etc. Find a fitness regime that you find fun and can incorporate into your lifestyle. Perhaps once you're following a fitness routine...

To help with your balance you could try using some free weights while balancing on the Bosu ball.
