Re: New to Forum

Thanks Noosk-same here. Sandi-you can definitely gain more definition and I'm sure your trainer will give you some ideas. We each have our own favorite "parts". There's a girl at gym who has legs I covet. But even though legs aren't favorite part, they take me where I need to go so I love ...

Re: New to Forum

Beth, I loooove your shoulders!! How can I get them??? Hey Sandi! Sorry I've been ignoring forum time (eldest daughter just gave birth to 2nd grandson). Honestly, shoulder definition is a genetic trait, as it doesn't require that I train them more than a couple of times a week. That said,...

Re: Wide Grip Pullups progression

Things like Apples, Peppers and Onions, (Quercetin) and Pineapple, (Bromelain), may provide anti-inflammatory relief. However both can be bought supplementally, so they may be worthy things to try for the Tendonitis. If it's however Tennis Elbow, which is a type of Bursitis, (inflamed Bursa or Burs...

Re: Sandi's food and whatever journal

Just wanted to chime in and say great job! Nutrition looks great, exercise looks intense, and you definitely have a terrific mindset. Love the idea that you're approaching this as lifestyle as opposed to quick . Go, Sandi, go!

Re: Wide Grip Pullups progression

Brendan, Being able to do chin ups has been a goal of mine for a very long time. Both of the suggestions above (tubing at home on chin up bar) and negatives have helped me make great strides in endurance. I'm still not able to perform an unassisted chin up  , but I'm improving. I've been battli...

Re: help help help

Since I've changed leg routine to the 10X3 routine Cassie recommended, legs are SPENT the day after, so I make that rest day. A day of rest is good for the body! As long as I'm eating clean, it doesn't effect fat loss and may even benefit it as recovery time is good for the muscles. More muscle=stre...

Re: help help help

When you are working towards a goal, I'd suggest having BF % checked every 4 weeks. No magic secret to losing body fat...work out with weights (intensely, but always with good form), throw in 2-3 sessions of HIIT cardio, and eat clean with a moderate calorie deficit. It sounds like you've been seein...

Re: What is the best way of losing baby ?

Hi Brightlight. Congratulations on the birth of your baby! :D From what you described, it sounds like you are on the right track, exercise-wise. If you're nursing, you need an additional 200-500 more quality calories than non-nursing moms. I found it easier to get back to pre-pregnancy figure by nur...

Re: help help help

Charl, 17% BF is a very healthy percentage-that puts you in the athletic range. Do you mind asking what your goal is? I remember the first time I had mine calculated after 12 weeks of vigorous exercise and careful eating. When the trainer said it was 20%, I was bummed! Damn legs. I had failed to get...

Re: New to Forum

Kreyola, you can get a body analysis at most gyms. If you don't belong to a gym call around to your local gyms and inquire. The trainer at gym does mine. Beth, what does your fitness program look like? I am very interested to know! Fitover40, Sandi and Kreyola, sorry for the long reply time...I'm s...
