Re: How to break a plateau
Thanks..I will try that new diet plan..except the oatmeal. I don't like plain oatmeal, so I might just drop it all together. And I am going to try really hard to quit the pepsi. I had quit drinking it for the first month, but I think I got stressed and then got to drinking it again. I also like gree...

Re: How's This Routine For Burning Fat?
I wondered the same thing about the bike thinking since I was sitting I wouldn’t get as good of results as I would with a treadmill. I don’t know about the regular bike but I have been using the spinning bike at the gym for the past month and it has really been wow on toning. I can feel it really wo...

How to break a plateau
I started working out every day and dieting on August 10. I have lost 20 pounds since then. I hit a mini-plateau about 1 month ago where I had 1 week of no weight change, but thankfully I had found a post from Cassie and she had advised on a lean protein, complex carb, healthy fat diet and I changed...

Re: Newbie - Need to drop some fat weight
But really you are the one who made not just day but week! I think you are really informed and I am so thankful that you are sharing your knowledge. The food journal is a huge help…I have tried with the diet tracker on here and it is great, but sometimes if I don’t enter it right away I forget so I ...

Re: Newbie - Need to drop some fat weight
Cassie- Thanks so much for providing the diet guideline earlier in this post. I have been doing fairly well. I started at 210 on August 10 working out every day and trying to change eating habits. I did great the first 2 weeks and lost 10 pounds..but I think it was mainly because I didn’t eat any f...

Re: Ready to Make Some SERIOUS Changes!!!
Soda was big clutch…but I decided I was tired of being 210 pounds so on August 10 I went from about 4 sodas a day to 0 the first two weeks and had 1 per day on the weekends. It was very hard, but I just drank lots of green tea and pictured myself at goal weight in mind every time I wanted a soda. I ...

Re: Newbie looking for advise and motivation
I am by far no expert but I have found some help from these forums myself and I have lost 15 pounds since August 10. first two weeks I dropped 10 pounds, but I also cut out pepsi and went to drinking green tea. Green tea is excellent. I hit a big plateau on week 3 where I gained 3 pounds and didn’t ...

Re: weight gain from adding weights?
hat does your diet look like? Weight loss is about 75% diet and 25% exercise. You can't outtrain a bad diet. Post an example of a typical day for you so we can help make suggestions there. Well…this is a typical day. 2 pieces Cinnamon toast with an apple or peach. Then strawberries for mid morning s...

Re: run with sore legs
You might try a 5-10 minute bike warm up before running or treadmill. I was having terrible ankle pain and then calves tightening up when doing HIIT on the treadmill. Today I rode the bike 7 minutes before the treadmill and it wasn't until about 25 minutes on the treadmill, ankle started to hurt...b...

Re: weight gain from adding weights?
Thanks again everyone for be so friendly and giving me some useful suggestions. I am going to stop the fat burner. I think maybe I need to keep working on diet because I have no idea on what I am really doing there except for what I read. I know to reprogram myself into eating the 6 small meals will...

Re: weight gain from adding weights?
Thanks for the welcome and advice. You might be right about the 10 pounds being from no longer drinking pop. I was a moderate pop drinker. I guess I forgot to mention that I have been taking a weight loss supplement BurnX…it really helps speed up heart rate for workouts. I forgot to take it one day ...

weight gain from adding weights?
I have been working out on the elliptical since two weeks ago from Monday and I lost 10 pounds. I have been using the elliptical everyday for 30-45 minutes (3-3.5 miles). I started adding about 15 minutes of weight training starting this Monday and I gained 2 pounds back then, 1 more yesterday and s...
