thanks for the replies :) diet is good, I think. As far as what type of food, it's all pretty much whole foods. Fresh fruit, veggies, lean meats very little dairy. Do I eat a lot- I always feel satisfied. I can't tell you how many calories I eat though- I don't keep track of that. I 'll have someth...

Hi ZPP, Thank you for the information. First off, it sounds like you're definitely getting enough protein, but if you have a high metabolism, I doubt you're getting enough calories. I am in a lifting club with quite a few experienced power lifters, olympic lifters, etc. The ones with higher metaboli...

Hey Pack, You're right, I don't want to stand behind that statement because I can't find any peer reviewed articles or journals that support that. It would have been more accurate to say that doing cardio is going to burn more calories obviously, and if her goal is to gain muscle and put on some wei...

You have to do cardio! cardio actually assists with muscle gains! you have to be doing large amounts of cardio e.g. 50mins a day everyday for it to actually be burning muscle. when doing cardio, first thing in the morning before eating it will burn fat. If you do cardio after eating it burns carbs....

Did you say you're working out for two hours a day ? That is way too much. Look, if you want to put on mass and build muscle, if you have a high metabolism, you need to take in a lot of calories. How much is really dependent on the individual, but lots of lifters I know who have high metabolism need...

Cassie is correct. If you are currently taking in minimal calories to keep the weight off, you're not going to make impressive gains with lifting. Unfortunately, increasing your calories to make gains in lifting might mean you are going to put on some fat as well, so you have to decide what your goa...

Most weightlifters I talk to usually either go through a bulking cycle or a cutting cycle. So they are either taking in tons of calories (mostly the good kind high in protein, etc.) and bulking while they build muscle, or they've gained the muscle they want to and start cutting to reduce body fat. I...

Working Muscle Groups 1X A Week

Hi All, I'm a newbie here, and in a couple of months I will be uploading success story. I started at 245, I'm down to 220 at this point (and I'm positive I've added on 10-15 pounds of muscle), and goal weight is 195-200. Anyways, currently schedule only allows me to work out four times a week, at wh...
