Hello,
I have a problem where I cannot stomach any fruits or raw vegetables. If the vegetables are cooked then that is fine.
Doctors told me it is mind over matter why I feel nauseous as soon as I take a bite out of a fruit since it doesn't have time to digest in the system...
What would be the best substitution for fruits and raw vegetables? Has anyone ever come across a conditon as such?
Thanks in advance.
Help!!! I can't stomach fruits or raw vegetables....

Don't mean to make this sound dumb but, would I loose any value by steaming fruits? It's funny how I love a hot apple pie, and I will eat the apples in it with no problems. Yet I can't eat apples by themselves...RK19 wrote:steam you veggies.
not sure about the fruit thing, maybe bad childhood memory or something. try eating small portions and learn to love them i say.
Not necessarily on the Raw. As I recently posted about Carrots, if you blend and then Boil, you release 90% of the Beta-carotene. Eating raw ones releases about 5%
However you might lose a bit of the Carb content when you boil.
As for other veggies, eating them raw, I couldn't say, but if the same principles apply, then potentially raw veggie consumption would be a total misnomer.
As I say, I can't vouch for raw veggies efficacy over cooked, except with Carrot.

If you like apple pie, what about microwaving (or baking, but microwave would be faster) the fruits? You can add a little cinnamon or nutmeg. I've done that before with pears, apples, bananas, and I'm sure it would work with other fruits too. Depending on what you're going for, I add a little cold cottage cheese to the warm apple and even some almond slivers (fun with textures and temperatures). I have added sugar free maple syrup to give a little sweetness too. Anything along those lines, but maybe if the fruit is warmed up that will make it more palatable for you?
