Breakfast, gym, post workout

Post by daswiss14 »

Hi,

I go to the gym in the morning 5x per week to do a weights session before work. It consists of about 10mins fairly intense warm up such as skipping or running/cycling and 35mins weights on certain body parts depending on the day.

When I get up i take an MRP with semi-skimmed milk consisting of about 20g protein and carbs (cant remember how much) and vitamins etc , plus about 10g protein powder added into that making up to a total of about 250 calories. After workout i take the same thing plus and apple and then go about the rest of the day. Is this too much protein/carbs to consume in the space of 2 hours? Is there a better breakfast and pre workout meal and take an MRP later on in the day when i get hungry or just have one altogether?

No this should be fine. Are you feeling hungry or satisfied? Strong or weak? Etc. If you are feeling well I think it is just fine.
