Ok..So I'm 16 years old and im not over weight but not under weight. basically just looking for a good workout routine and a good diet plan. Wanting to lose the extra stuff around lower stomach area and build up some strong arms, chest, abs and back. was thinking swimming would be good for upper back and arms. I was also looking for a good cardio routine to do. the cardio for more of a starter. arms are strong but im wanting them to show. So i guess with the workouts im wanting defintion like all over from like waist up. The body parts im wanting to get in the best shape as in tone are arms abs back and chest, all upper body pretty much. Would like to have 6 pack but i know that takes alot of work. Chest muscle would also be nice. Just any work out routine would be good for those body sections. I like the use of dumb bells. If i dont have the right wait im willing to buy some heavier ones.
For the diet im looking for a 4 to 5 meal a day kinda thing. i read all the weight loss and muscle builder things and i know im going to start to have to eat lots of veggies and fruits (proteins of course). I'm pretty much willing to spend whatever kind of money it takes to get where i want to be i would just like someone to give me a some options to pick from for meals. I'm not allergic to any foods that i know of so i guess that might help.
Givin some stuff to feed on about me. I drink about 2 to 3 liters of water a day. If im not drinking water i drink Tea usually sweet ( i know thats bad ). i dropped soft drinks about 7 months ago and haven't had one since. food intake could be alot better. I used to work at a Burger King and i saw some of the stuff that went on behind the counter and i will never ever eat fast food again. the part where me food intake is bad is that i sometimes i eat fried food like tonight i had french fries. i would like to quit that and get a good diet plan going on. Right now im eating 3 meals a day with a snack usually between luch and dinner. i would say the there is a avg. of 3 to 3 1/2 hours in between each meal.
Thanks for the help

I want meal types, times, etc etc, as you're loosely saying what you eat / ate right now. Thanks.
Lunch - Anywhere from 1 to 2pm - Whole wheat ham or turkey sandwich with fruit
Snack - 4 to 5pm Fruit (blue berries, strawberries, whatever is around the house really)
Dinner - 7:30pm - a salad , some sort of meat (fish) , a steamed veggie.
Breakfast is not Bad. but you need more Protein, and I would increase Toast to two slices, as you might not be getting an adequate Bloodsugar spike first thing.Rocko wrote: Breakfast -Whenever i get up - 2 egg whites, whole wheat toast

Lunch, fruit first, give it 10-15 minutes, thne eat the other food.
Snack, Fruit is fine, but I wouldn't go with Berry Fruits. Carbs are low, Protein very low.
Not saying they're bad, but you do need a lot to make it worth your while, unless you mix them up together.
I would aim for something with more Protein, at least something like an Apple, to get more Carbs, or a small or Large Banana. Some kind of Fruit with higher Carbs.
You need some Protein here, so Eat the Fruit, wait 10-15 minutes, then have Protein.
Dinner is okay.
2-3 hours after dinner have some Protein, and some Carb, so you could have something like a bit of Sliced Turkey and Yoghurt.
