Weight loss motivation

Hello guys,

I'd like to hear some good, inspirational stories about weight loss. Care to share?
I am willing to share stories as well, and perhaps wen can encourage each other to stick to our diet and weight loss programs, and give tips where needed. When people say – don’t give up, they usually don’t know how hard it is to follow diet programs, to be focused all the time. Sometimes I am down, but that is normal.

favorite quote is “Run when you can, walk when you have to, crawl if you must, just never give up”. It helps me every time I want to give up!

I was skeptical at the beginning, but motivational quotes are really a great thing, especially when you make some weight loss mistakes or work out mistakes and experience setbacks :).

I was wondering whether you have any advice on how to maintain your diet discipline and weight loss motivation?

Hi Michael, good to speak to you.

You can always maintain discipline on both matters by reminding yourself of what you're doing it for and why you're in it.

You can remind yourself of what not getting it right will mean in the long-term and if you have family, then remind of yourself of what they stand to gain by you being on it, but what they might stand to lose if you're not, because being related to someone who has reduced quality of life in the future, who might have been able to reach a certain age in a better state of well being, is a penance for all around them.

You can always document what you do as well, if you need more accountability and try not to worry too much about slip-ups, because slip-ups can be magnified or they can be overcome swiftly and with the realisation that they don't have to define the next 24+ hours

So there are things you can do to keep on the straight and narrow yes :).
