How to Burn Fat while you sleep

Post by FitnessMeta »

Hey everyone this is one of first posts here so I figure I should let you in on this little secret.

When many people try to lose weight they try to stick to one thing. This could either be going on a diet or going on a cardio plan. One thing that many people seem to overlook is the importance of lifting weights in order to burn fat.

Did you know that if you weight train, depending on the intensity of your routine you can actually burn more calories for 24-72 hours after you are done training? This means that you can have a good workout on monday, and still be burning calories from that workout on wednesday. Even While you sleep! This is pretty good to know huh?

So for everyone trying to lose weight out there, remember that weight training is a very important part of your routine. Many times people do not achieve their goals because they leave weight training out.

So for all of you that would like to lose some weight make sure you get on a good weight lifting routine.

Lift weight to lose weight. :)

Hope this helps everyone

For sure the more muscle you have the higher your metabolic rate and the more fat your body will burn throughout the day and night. I absolutely agree weight training should feature in any fitness or weight loss program.

For optimum results weight training can be combined High Intensity Interval Training [HIIT]. This involves short bursts of high intensity cardio interspersed with short rest periods. This is extremely taxing for your body and your metabolic rate will be elevated for up to 48 hours after the exercise. This is known as the afterburn effect. Many studies suggest that the calories burned incorporating HIIT can be far greater than by using weight training alone.

A simple HIIT routine would be to run 30 seconds and jog 30 seconds and repeat for a total of 10 minutes. If done with maximum intensity it will destroy you, but the benefits will be worth it.
