Hi All,
I am having yearly "ME" day today. No work and only what I want to do. YAY!! :D Sue, you will get your "ME" in two days and Bama on boxing day I believe. So before I forget HAPPY BIRTHDAY to workout buddies with busy December birthdays!!!
biggest birthday present to myself is a day to myself. I don't get that very much so it is a big present. I am going to browse through some shops and get all the stocking stuffers done. Then kick back and wrap and be done with it!!  I forsee another workout in future as there is another storm about to attack us. back really felt the soreness from the last storm. Shows you how lazy I have been. Think I will be fixing that real soon. Time to get back to weights for me (maybe right after Christmas is done).
Don't be thinking snow fort will be real fancy or anything, it is just a good way to put some fun into a job like shoveling snow.
Well I must be going. Have a great day all!!

Thank you Chris on the Birthday Wishes . He He I almost forgot that mine is the day after . children and Hubby all have winter birthdays. One more to go after mine .

I just got back from Kohl's and wow were they busy . I am finished with shopping but I had a 30% coupon and I noticed that 3 pairs of socks (never wore them in Bama) had holes in them So decided to take advantage of the 30% .

I too have been neglecting workouts this month . Not everyday but missed more then usual . Will work up a good plan to start in January . This month is just to busy .

Time for some lunch .

Morning sisters,

I see I have a lot of catch up to do today....will be later as have to make Chuck's pizza today plus make up our grocery list for tomorrow and we are not up as early as yesterday. It's another freezing morning here at 31 degrees....

Well off to have breakfast, dust, make up Chuck's pizza and then make a list for tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day,

Sue

Happy birthday, Chris! Sounds like you have a nice day planned. :sunshine: Wishing you a wonderful new year!

Hope the pizza-making helps warm you up, Sue!

Did you get some nice cozy socks, Bama? Fudge sounds yummy. I haven't done any holiday baking or candy making yet. Maybe I won't, but I probably will!

I had review today, Bekah and Bama, and although boss said all nice things (she loves having me on the team; morning crowd of members love me, too), I didn't hear any mention of a raise. Oh, well, DH got a call yesterday from his boss's boss--he is getting a nice raise. Actually his just the amount of his raise will end up being more than weekly check!

YAH, Bama got me into coloring--it's so calming. There are so many beautiful coloring books on Amazon. I have one with mandalas, https://www.amazon.com/Mystical-Mandala ... 943/ref=sr_ but I have eye on one with cats next. https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Haven-C ... ation+cats I use colored pencils because I had a pile of them from when the kids were young.

I think Jan. will be time for me to set some new workout goals, too. I've been doing some pretty minimal workouts the last several months--just 6 min. each morning, and the occasional bootcamp yoga class. Might be time to work on push-ups again, or even pull-ups, get a little stronger.

Sweet dreams, everyone~and Happy Winter Solstice, in case I don't make it back tomorrow. :chilly: :sunshine:

Afternoon sisters,

Thought I'd catch up sooner than this but such was life.....

Chris, I see you had a very good Sunday with out outside workout. Have to say another thing I don't miss is dealing with the snow. Though I do remember as kids doing just what you did to make us a igloo and since it stayed cold back then we'd have our hideout for most of the winter. Yuck on the freezing rain.

Yes I was happy to sleep too, Chris....hey seriously it could be worse. Just not used to it anymore. Plus if their was better insulation and "normal heat" not the inefficient system they put in here it wouldn't be a problem. Las Vegas got colder than here, however, they had gas heat and it got so hot sometimes we needed to open a window....now that's a heating system.

Molasses, I see you got a bit of snow too and sleet also. Yuck on the scare getting out of the driveway. Glad you were able to make it with your client appointment. I see it got warmer and snow all gone.

Great news on your client and as you said great to hear too....Lift you head up, Molasses...

We thought of space heaters here Molasses, but with the wiring here...not comfortable. Luckily our cooler times don't last too long.

Yes the pup in the graphic reminds me of Buddy as a puppy...spittin image of him. Glad book club went alright. I see the song was an unknown one...

Hoping a raise is in order Molasses.

Bama, I see you got all your presents and take lots of pics so I can see Happy opening that present.

Nope Bama, our area here and into Sacto where we lived when we first moved here, get down in temps this time of year. In fact Sacto was in the 20s but we had just moved from Western NY so Chuck and I wouldn't even wear a jacket, I grabbed a sweater and him a suit jacket that he wore anyway with his suit and off to work.

I can still remember the first day I started at the temp job and I walked in and they were all bundled up like Nanook of the North with coats, scarf's, gloves etc. They looked at me like I was nuts and I said hey we hit 20 and it was balmy weather to us since our norm was more like 20 below.

Well Kathleen said to me later that day(she was originally from Pennsylvania)....wait 20 years and you will be the same...well she was right. I kept short Rochester jacket I had thank goodness as I wear it when we hit the 30s here, along with gloves and a wool hat on head. A friend years back sent me some hats she knitted and got me a bunch of different colored gloves....she and I were "the color coordinated one" LOL

Can't wait to see the pic of the fireplace Bama.

Bekah glad the meds are doing alright. I love the Sound of Music.

LOL Bama on Hallmark Christmas movies and fudge....it's that time of the year.

Chris, I see you had a me day on Tuesday for your birthday.... Yup an extra "me day" with birthday on the 22nd.

Enjoy that day off Chris. Sounds like wonderful things planned.

Thanks on the birthday wishes Chris.

Bama, have a wonderful birthday also....yours is even harder than mine.

Molasses, yup it warmed us up making the pizza as oven on LOL

Sorry on no raise Molasses. Glad hubby is getting a nice one.

Same here for me Molasses, workouts start on January 2nd.

Well time for me to medicate, breathe etc.

Hi, Just hopping in to wish everyone :coffee:  a good sleepy night and a great Thurs. and every day through Christmas maybe as not sure how much i get on. I just got out and stayed 2 nights over son's as he has all week off. He took van in also to garage to get the back tire all done for the rust that gets in the rims etc. so it wouldn't go flat either. then it started snowing pretty good so got home around 3 pm today so we got maybe 3 or 4 inches only but came hard for a couple hrs. there.
Have very Happy Birthdays Chris, Bama and Sue!!! I think that was it for Dec.? It seems more besides son also in Dec. with relatives:) Hope you all enjoy your days and the best in the year ahead also!
Bama, Mo, I'm not too good at coloring I don't think especially when no real room to do it here. Its a very small house I guess was made for a very retired couple with no clothes and not stuff at all hardly and we have over 40+ yrs. of stuff in it now. little table is desk also so no room:( I know most people have other rooms, closets etc. to put stuff in but guess they didn't need them then. Made it small and not even room to do walks in here really. And I guess I'd love to move so much so it does depress me quite a lot. Going to work was a very great outlet with the people and also the money too. So I will have to manage somehow I guess and just get out when i can. I do go this weekend to dog sit over son's in Marq. anyway. I'm hearing about some kind of funny storm coming also and I'm sure hoping we dont' have to get it then. At least it warmed up to 20's and maybe even 30's.
Do have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in case I don't get on here before then:) take care out there!

Happy Friday all! I took today off and finished up a few little things for shopping. Kids only had a half day of school today. I was wrapping presents and thought I would pop online. Normally I am wrapping on Christmas eve so I feel I am ahead of the game. I will be off for a few days visiting family.
Before I disappear I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a fit and active new year ahead!! :D

Glad to hear you had a great birthday Sue!! Just as happy to hear you got some sleep.

See you all soon!!

Merry Christmas eve Sisters,

Just finished comics and then off to do the meds, etc stuff

YAH I see you are going to have a new start to the year...me too. Sounds the guy is having a great time and I agree nice to watch. You wouldn't know it at the apartment we are in YAH, not very good insulation at all. Yes I realize it's California, but it does go down to the 30s here and even if it didn't you'd think just for summer with their 100 plus temps they would have done better. Then again as Chuck says, this is an older complex so that's part of the problem too. So be it, we like it so will do what we need for ourselves.

Chris, good luck with the igloo and thanks on the sleep.

I see snow and sleet in your neck of the woods Molasses. Glad you made it alright to class and all. Kudos on the client see a difference...doesn't surprise me you are very good at your job.

Yeah luckily it's not as cold as much as it's hot and you can put stuff on....can only take so much off. So better the a/c works great.

With our electrical here not comfortable with the little heaters.

I see you hadn't heard the song before. Glad to hear book club went well.

Hope you get a raise Molasses, you deserve one.

Bama, I see you have ice on drive way...hope the guy can it for you. Glad shopping is all done and I see Happy's getting a new toy.

Yeah unfortunately we do get cold here sometimes.

So glad you got he entertainment fireplace again and can't wait to see it.

Glad the med is doing alright Bekah. I did have a nice me day thanks.

Bama, sorry you missed Sound of Music and I see you are watching Christmas movies and eating fudge...sounds wonderful.

Chris, glad you had a nice birthday and a "me day" to boot. A me day is a wonderful present Chris. I find too now Chris, the cold and dampness hurts back a lot. HUGS

I hope your birthday went like you wanted it too.

I see you were at Kohl's Bama and hope it worked out well for you.

Yes Molasses, cooking pizza warmed us up with the oven on.... Sorry no raise. Congrats to hubby on his raise.

Glad son took care of the van YAH and got to spend time with son I know you love doing that. Had a wonderful b-day, YAH and I got some relaxation time in too. Yeah 5 inches isn't too bad.

You too Bekah....a very Merry Christmas...

Chris I see you took Friday off and got some shopping done. I see wrapping up all the presents. You too, Chris a very Merry Christmas to you. Thanks on the birthday and yes sleep....glorious sleep....

Well that's it for me...off to medicate and all and then time for more pizza and present opening after we watch our movie.....

A very Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night......Sue

Good Morning sisters,

Hope all have a very Merry Christmas today and remembers what the true meaning is.

I have been down all week. I caught a nasty cold and have been in PJs since Tuesday . I had to cancel Christmas dinner with Friday night group plus also Christmas Eve day with family . Since they all go to their spouses families today we will hold Christmas tomorrow (Monday) at house . Thank goodness I was done with shopping . I am better today so all should be ok tomorrow .

Sue I am so sorry I missed your Birthday . Happy Belated Birthday to you . Love you you know.

I need to get caught up with the posts just a few to read so that is good.

Getting ready to have cup of coffee and enjoy the Christmas tree since soon it will be gone. On a good note I loss 6 pounds during this week and then yesterday freind dropped off a huge bag of Christmas cookies, fudge and very favorite chocolates. What to do !! I was so please when I stepped on the scale and thought this is the first Christmas with no weight gain in years. Oh well, it is what it is.

Merry Christmas to each and every one of you and here's hoping all our dreams are fulfilled this year.

Chris I see you had a Birthday too , so sorry I missed that also .

Yah, just read your post and DD has a house like yours . No closets at all. Her kitchen is good sized tho. How about some volunteer work at the local hospital etc. nursing homes . Just something to take up some time. When I first moved to Alabama I knew no one and I just started hitting the thrift stores plus I joined a gym . I never did get real involved with people as I am very much a loner . All friends were from husband . You will find something to do in time. As far as coloring, I am not very good at it either but it is something to occupy time. There are coloring sites on puter . They are kinda fun. I have one on tablet . Pogo.com has a lot of free games if you like to play games etc. I play a lot of solitaire on table . sometimes when I a watching tv .

Again Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas .
