The only time age is a factor is if BOTH people are equally trained & one is younger, example..you & a 30 yr old are both trained to the same capacity, the 30 yr old will kick your butt thats reality.IF however they are not as trained as you are, you should be able to kick theirs.

Todays workout:

3.5 mile tempo run. Kept a good pace, just under race pace. Very hilly run. next 5K has alot of hills, so this is all good.

Todays meals:
breakfast: bagel w/pb
lunch: grilled chicken breast w/stewed cabbage, carrots & sausage - awesomely yummy!
dinner: grilled chicken breast / salad / homemade dressing

Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend! :D :D

Hey Lynne, I just caught up on your journal (first one since I returned) - SOOOOO glad to hear your dad is doing well :) And I LOVE the stories about running with your son, I got a little teary-eyed when I read the one about the 5K you ran together. He sounds like such an amazing kid and I think that is such a great reflection on you - you are obviously an amazing role model :D And great job on the weight loss - keep it up!

Hi Joc!! Good to hear from you, been missing your sunny self around here! Yes, I am beyond proud of son. He is awesome. Running comes natural to him, he has such an easy stride, very balanced and straight forward leg placement - I'm excited to see his progress, and it keeps me out there trying to improve on own running too. Win, win.

Hi Guys! Miss me? lol!

Just got back from visiting the inlaws down south and spending a few days at the beach. Did pretty good on eating, only got to run once - bummer. It was a beach run with son - really nice. Hubby took a few pics - I'll have to look at them and maybe add one or two.
BTW...I've got a new "doo". Cut hair shorter and added platinum ice highlights to silver/black mix. Hubby loves it...honestly..if I had known he would react this positively (if ya know what I mean... ) I would have done it LONG ago!!

Had a good time overall, but glad to be home and get back to routine. :D

I'm trying to get caught up on everyone's postings! Hope everyone had a good weekend. :D

Can't wait to see it! Glad you could get away and still be "good" - I've been so busy with other stuff?!?! Can't wait for some normalcy

I miss you when you don't post - I stop in and read sometimes just to see what you are up to! :)

Thanks guys! I'm still adjusting to it. It is a big change for me. When I first came home from the salon, I hated it. But, after I started working with it, and fixing it the way I wanted it (I actually cut more layers in the top sections myself after i got home from the salon) I liked it better. And like I said, husband REALLY likes it...  After 14 years of marriage, it's like we are dating again! Our son saw us in the kitchen kissing (we're not talking about a "peck" here...) and rolled his eyes and said "Oh....gross!!!" as he turned and left
I've always been afraid of big changes...I always thought I had to have long hair, or keep it colored it's original color to look sexy & attractive....I was wrong! Now if I can just get body in the shape i want it in...for me, get these pesky pounds gone for good, then "work in progress" will be complete. :D

The look coupled with the black clothes, it's like you're a character from Space 1999, or Battlestar Galactica or some such 1970's programme .
