Weight loss advice and tips desperately needed!!!

Hey all, I am needing some serious advice and tips on helping lose a lot of weight!! I have tried many things in the past, but never gave any of them 100% all!! I am currently on a nutritional weight loss and management meal replacement. I am enjoying it for helping me make better meal/snack choices. I have never been a calorie counter nor am I educated enough about all the other nutrition/exercise that I need to know that would benefit me....so here I am!! I am needing advice on healthy meals/snack, how much and how often, what would be good and what isn't etc!!!!!

I have an elliptical that I don't use enough, but I don't think I am using it properly either. I can go on it for 20-30min and I just break a sweat with the resistance being at a 6/7 (highest is 12). Here is a quick look at what a week looked like for me and I only lost 2 pounds: Wednesday- Vi shake- 2 scoops/banana/water
3 small homemade cookies
4 little strips of chicken
Vi shake- 2 scoops/2 tbsp plain yogurt/water
1 Trident Layer gum
2 hard boiled egg
Left overs for supper- hamburger/potatoes
Little baggie of broccoli

Thursday Vi shake- 2 scoops/ 1/4C yogurt/water
1 hard boiled egg
6 little strips of chicken
1 stalk of celery
Vi-shake-2 scoops/water/banana
1 hard boiled egg
Supper-2 slices of roast beef/salad (carrots/celery/cauliflower) with a bit of ranch/and cooked peas and half a glass of chocolate milk
1 homemade cookie

Friday Vi Shake- 2 scoops/yogurt/vi-peach mix/water
1 hard boiled egg
1 stalk of celery
Vi-shake- 2 scoops/banana/water
1 homemade cookie
1 hard boiled egg
1 stalk of celery
Supper- 1 chicken breast w/BBQ sauce/ ½ cup rice/ cooked green pepper,onions and fresh mushrooms in 1 tbsp of butter

Saturday broccoli with a little dressing
Vi-shake- 2scoops/water/banana
half chicken breast and some mushrooms/green peppers
1 homemade cookie
1 gum
Vi-shake-2 scoops/yogurt/water/1tsp of cocoa (gross!! LOL)
some broccoli & dressing
About 1 cup of croutons
Supper-marinated moose steak (a small piece)/1 cup of rice with mushrooms and onions (cooked with 1 tbsp butter)/shrimp (cooked in 1 tbsp butter) and small mixed veggie salad

Sunday Vi-shake- 2 scoops/water/banana
2 hard boiled eggs and a few croutons
Vi-shake- 2 scoops/banana/water
Lots of popcorn (popped on the stove) eekkk !!!
1 homemade cookie
Supper- Marinated moose steak again/cooked cauliflower w/1 tbsp of cheese whiz melted/mushrooms and onions

I am looking into doing some exercise with kettlebells too! I need honest opinions please. Am I doing something wrong? I would love some tips and advice on to happy, healthy and fit :)

This is something I've posted a few times before, which might work for you. Tweaks can be made if needs be :).

Breakfast

Option 1.

Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal + 1 rasher grilled Bacon and scrambled Eggs, (Fat trimmed off the Bacon, 2 Egg Whites + Yolk)

Option 2.

Protain shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashews, Chestnuts and Grapenuts), + Apple. Give the Apple 10-15 minutes to digest to improve digestion.


Snack

Option 1.

Portion of Turkey + Orange

Option 2.

Small Portion of Peanuts, some Chicken + Raw Carrot.


Lunch

Option 1.

Large Beef Sandwich with trimmings, I.E. Tomato, Lettuce, Cucumber etc.

Option 2.

Bowl of Chicken Soup, + Pot of yoghurt.


Snack

Option 1.

Turkey + Cashews

Option 2.

Ham + 2 large Tomatos


Dinner

Option 1.

Pork with Peas + mashed Potato.

Option 2.

Chicken and Mushroom with Rice

Option 3.

100g Halibut + Broccoli


Snack

Option 1.

Beans on Toast

Option 2.

Ham Sandwich, no trimmings.

Easy on the bread with both options.

You should be aiming for around 2,500 calories initially, but could increase a bit at a later stage.

You could add a few things to certain meals, like Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper. Parsley, Mustard, Herbs, Garlic.

Thank you Bossman :) By seeing what I wrote, what do you think problem is? What is it that I may be doing wrong? Do you have any tips/advice for exercise during the week that I could incorporate?

You didn't appear to be doing much wrong diet wise, but I posted what I did to simplify things incase the frequent changing of things on a daily basis caused you sometimes to have "what will I eat now" scenarios sometimes.

Some people do that by incorporating many choices into their diet and then start saying they ate leftovers or snacked unnecessarily, ebcasue some choices were not fulfilling enough.

As for exercise, the eliiptical would be ideal for you right now. I'd aim for around 30 minutes 3x a week every other day at the minute and see if you can stick to that.
