I'm sure all your hard work will be worth it in the long run. Just take a nice long warm soaking bath when you are done, use some epson salts - burn a nice scented candle, relax and hopefully it will ease some of the soreness. :)

Thanks Boss :D

I didn't end up getting a workout in yesterday. I was pretty much walking hunched over all evening, I felt like an old lady - neices wouldn't stop laughing every time I stood up  Painting is really hard on your body  And I am STILL not done  GRRRR! Oh, well, it will get done eventually. Not much left.

I weigh in Monday mornings but I am a bit worried this week. I was really on for workouts, but the diet was terrible, especially this weekend. We ordered Chinese Saturday night, and then of course today was Easter PLUS nephew's birthday party. I didn't really watch what I ate at all - so tomorrow morning on the scale certainly isn't going to be pleasant. But I guess it will just give me all that much more reason to work harder.

Hope everybody had a super weekend :D

I have had a really rough week since Easter. I have averaged about 4-5 hours of sleep each night and have not had any time to workout :( I was doing really well with food until the weekend when I was out of town, then I just sort of gave up - I am so overwhelmed right now that the thought of cooking anything makes me want to cry :? This week is not going to be any better. I have to get a few things off of plate and then I will have time to get back on track.

I thought I had some issues behind me a few weeks ago, but I guess not. I am crossing fingers that this week will be the last of it so that I can get back on track with both food and exercise.

That is actually exactly what I planned to do yesterday, but I didn't end up getting back in town until midnight last night. I knew week was going to be a repeat of last week so I was planning on getting prepared for at least the food part yesterday, but then some things happened and I couldn't get home.

Since I eat chicken almost every day, I buy it in large packages of individually packed breasts (2 in each package) - easy to take out of the freezer and defrost then cook. You can also get the ones purse sells (individually packed single breasts) sold in packages of 5 that cook in 10 minutes. The other thing I do is make that Chicken Veggie soup (more like a stew) that I posted the recipe for awhile back and freeze it in 2 serving containers. REALLY helps me when I just don't feel like cooking - it's a quick and it's delicious!

I totally understand though - it's so hard sometimes to stay on track with food - just start over - a day at a time.:)

Thanks Lynne and Boss :D It's always nice to feel welcome after disappearing for awhile

I am really hoping things are getting back on track in life - I guess when it rains it pours - I am hoping for a temporary drought  Anyway, I won't bore anyone with the details of life lately. Although I will mention that I broke toe on Thursday night  Just when things start to look normal again I break a toe, go figure  I think I will live, though. I finally got running shoes on it today since the swelling went down (just for a 15 minute walk at work). I am just going to push through it.

I am now officially 1.5 pounds less than heaviest weight from last year in January before I lost 32 pounds  I sure wish it came off as easy as it went on! But I have made a decision to join a gym. I have made some changes and I can now comfortably afford it. I just have to decide on which one to join. There is a YMCA a few miles from me for $40/month plus a $75 joining fee. Then there is a small one less than a mile from me that is $25/month no joining fee if I sign a 1 year contract. The smaller one doesn't offer as much as the Y so I just have to decide which route to go. The biggest difference is no pool.

In 1.5 weeks I am leaving for a family vacation out West to Custer State Park. There will be 15 of us (8 kids ages 2-12 and 7 adults, we will be outnumbered  ). Oh yeah, and 5 dogs  We are driving the campers and RV there so wish me luck  I am not going to join a gym until I get back on the 4th so I have a little time to decide.

It does come on really easily! too easy. :( Either gym sounds nice. It's up to you though whichever one you think you will use more. :) You could probably go the local Ymca's website. I've done that just to see what kind of classes they have and at what times they have them at.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Very pretty! Have fun!

I am pretty sure I am going to join the Y. Even though it is more expensive I am not stuck in a contract and it includes a lot more. I am afraid if I join the less expensive one I will not like it (and it isn't always staffed) and then I will be stuck in a year long contract. I want to join right away but I don't want to pay for a half of a month and then only be here for one week of it.

I think that is a good choice!

the only downside to the Y is i've heard from i think two people that they are always crowded. Not sure if that is true though. Most gyms are anyways though.

Maybe you can get a week guest pass with them and then you can start for a little bit at least. I don't know if they offer weekly passes but they might??

Or you might just tell them that you want to join now but will be out of town for that week and maybe they will discount you the price. gym did that for me. :)
