LOL! Don't worry Lynne, scales are so fickle I'll probably weigh another half pound tomorrow!
Hey! Maybe we'll reach the finish line TOGETHER! :)

day started out great. Went to campground to get kids Park Model ready for closing for tomorrow. Not much to do, just make sure the shed was cleaned out and some yard stuff. Then emptied ours out (selling it too), loaded up the car and came home. Daughter in Law and Grandson were coming over for dinner so planned to make the Low Carb Primavera with Spaghetti Squash (Yum!) and pork loins. Made two batches of cookies, Mike's Power Cookies and May Cookie Company All Natural Cookies (you can get the mix at Whole Food Stores). For the May Cookie Mix instead of butter I use applesauce. Met the founder of the May Cookie Company last night, VERY nice gal ! I had to try 1 of each<---THAT was downfall! Anyway, I figure Beauty and Brawn before Age - so I took one for the team (had dessert too! ), I'm sure to weigh another lb in the morning! :( I anticipate Lynne in the lead, Allison close behind and me holding up the back of the pack this week! Beginning Cycle 2 in the morning - I like the way I look so I won't be sliding down hill from here, just get back in the groove so watch out ladies, I'll be back! ;)

Anyone interested in buying our Park Model please take a look. Once you go to www (dot) timbercreekrvresort (dot) com - go to Site Map which is interactive and click on Site 191. That's us!

Another crazy day - scrambled to get Tax Returns in on time - albeit extensions. hand is sore from writing checks-

Went to the dermatologist today as well - guess I better stay out of the sun (I love the sun!), or at least put 30 sunscreen on - had 2 brown spots on face that were pre-cancerous - so they were burned/frozen and a biopsy was done on left shoulder - possible basil cell....no big deal, but stuff I needed to take care of. When the spots on face blisters and falls off, she says all will be ok - sounds awful! LOL

Didn't work out today. Now that I have an extension for taxes I can relax a little - will work out in the morning, get day going right!

Hope you all had a great day!

Glad you got those taken care of early Lu. You know, I think most women, especially women like us who love the outdoors and did so much tanning (remember when tanning and getting as brown as you could was cool and sunscreen was our enemy?) probably will have, if not already, some issue with pre cancer or skin cancer. I have noticed on face, just under eyes in the cheek area some brown spots - I really should get those checked out. I always wear sunscreen now and just "spray" on tan.

Well, I can't buy it, but couldn't resist taking a peek at it....very nice! I hope it sells for you soon. :D

Good to know you're getting these things sorted out Lu as things like Melanomas are no joke and I hope that these things don't become a precursor to anything more serious.

Good luck and take care, because you're an outstanding Lady and this site needs and deserves to have you here, as a healthy and everpresent light :).

aaaggghhhh!!! .2 lbs ahead of me!! lol!! good job Lu!
Ugh ~! I'm back up to 167.8 today - I haven't been weighing myself but knew I'd gained a few lbs. Easter Sunday brunch was a killer - delicious one at that! Back on track still heading for 160, just not as fast as I hoped.

Weighing heavy in lack of continued weight loss is lack of exercise :( I continue to ache all over, not sure why?!?! I noticed bruises on legs for no apparent reason, honest!! hubby does not beat me! LOL I know arms/shoulder is bruised due to the Graston procedure Chiropractor is doing, but legs? IDK - even having hard time walking down stairs without pain in legs/knees. I have been active, lots of yard work and organizing - walking...jsut not using weights - I really, really miss them!

Off today again to the campground - need to do the yard work there now

Have a great day!

Oh - I fit into Size 10 Jeans!!! Yippee~! That was goal - now I want to fit into them a little better ;)

Keep up the hard work and just try not to let certain things put a dampener on progress :).

Thanks Bossman!

Today weighed in at 166.6 - so maybe it was just an Easter Blip - going in the right direction now anyway. BTW, that was AFTER breakfast of 2 eggs, an orange and at least 16 oz of liquids! :D
I'm off to the Chiropractor, then to get hair cut, then to get hopefully one of last appointments for electrolysis! It's tough being a woman getting closer to 60 every day! LOL

THEN I'm hoping the weather holds out so I can go for a long vigorous walk! Yesterday I raked for hours! Ugh - that's probably why I NEED chiropractor today  The weather has been beautiful lately!

Have a great day!

I saw some videos of that Graston procedure on You Tube. It's a little odd, watching someone taking a piece of bent metal and doing something that looks like cross between rubbing, combing and mild scraping, of an appendage or limb.

It is a bit odd - but it seems to help! Yesterday he did something else, placed a block under shoulder and press down hard - in a whole bunch of positions he did the same - this was to "tear" down the scar tissue I guess and give me mobility - and he gave me exercises to do when it seems to get tight again. As strange as it sounds it was amazing how it helped range of motion AND reduced the pain from the same.

Today weighed in at 166.2, still going in the right direction. Need to work this morning - then up to the gym! It's raining today so no outside stuff :(

Have a great day!

OMG~! I am so excited, I weighed in at 164.6!!!

I've been watching food carefully - not exclusively the 17 Day diet, but parts of it - adding in foods that I know are good for me - all in moderation - portion control and the right foods are key. NOW I need to get back into workout routine - it's funny but I'm a little afraid with shoulder and other aches and pains. I'm hoping that shoulder will be ok soon and the rest is just temporary. I watch others that record incredible workouts, Lynne and Allison in particular - I don't set expectations that high - I'm not a runner like Lynne (she's unbelievable!), maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute for me - LOL, and Allison is going crazy~! :) But I will find niche again - I love weights and can't wait to get back into a routine and get arms looking good again. Now that thighs are 2 inches less (which I am so thrilled about!!) I can begin to focus on toning again. I really needed to rein in weight - it was getting me down - I know, positive me!!! But it was getting me down....I do believe that as you look better, you feel better and you actually ARE better!! :):)

Today I have a guy coming over to excavate our property so we can install a 10X14 shed - we want to nestle it along our property line set into the woods so we need leveling and a gravel base. It's suppose to be a nice day (stopped raining) so either a walk outside later or up to the gym!

Have a great day!

awww shucks... thanks Lu. I'm going to do weigh-in tomorrow...I'm not feeling thin today..you know some days you can just "feel" when it's an off day.

Just doing the best I can...... I want everyone to understand completely that age will NOT be taken into consideration - no sirree ;) LOL

Today took a long bike ride and realized that I definitely don't do it enough! It was great on level ground and down hill, but Mystic is made up of many hills, they don't look so bad until you have to go up~! So, needless to say I got "walking" in too - LOL! Still felt good...

Tonight going to a Pirate Party fundraiser for ARC, an organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, husband has been on the Board of Directors for years. We are both going to be dressed up as Pirates, me in an Adult Buckaneer Costume - see, this was hidden additional motiovation to get as small as I could......Of course I'll need to put some fancy tights on over fishnet stocking (I'm not THAT daring  ) and I'll be wearing a long curly wig with a great Pirate Hat holding sword. It should be tons of fun! I promised husband I would also put tons of make up so no one would recognize me! Oh, and I have an eye patch and gold earring - hehehehe :D

I will try to stay away from the Grub and Grog!

Arrrrrgh!!!

Yes!! I actually watched the filming of the scene when Julia Roberts was in a boat screaming (profanity) up at someone on the bridge...ALL Day !!!! It was a riot! At the time I worked right in downtown Mystic where they were filming - it was pretty cool :) Most of the film was done in Stonington, next town over - LOL Of course Mystic Pizza has been living off that film forever!
