Kenneth's Fat-loss Journey "DIARY"

Post by starovdarkness »

I'm hoping to not upset the moderators but I really need a space on here to post not just what diet is but also some of the thoughts that go through me and some of the struggles that I know I'll have on this journey to better health of mine...

A place where I can get feedback from other people out there most likely going through or already have gone through similar things and such...

This seemed to be the appropriate area to start it.

goal is to, in due time, eventualy get back down below the 200 pounds mark...

I've already purchased a weighing scale which I'll use once a week so that I'll know if I need to adjust anything in nutritional or daily activities if the numbers don't at least budge a little... even 2 lbs down each week would be a good sign that I'm doing something correct... lol

Also I've gone to a few different sites and created a collection of other peoples success stories that I plan to print out and put together in a sort of booklet so that every morning I can go over a couple of them and get that spark of inspiration that I usually get from reading them... :D

Today, I've been thinking a lot of attempting to get a membership at the town gym thingy... it's very little but that's not the problem.

The problem is that, although I hate admitting it, I seem to find myself afraid to go ahead and do it... This is such a small town and I've long ago convinced myself that all anybody around here does is gossip and talk dirt behind others backs... I honestly don't want to have anything to do with this bloody town and it's kept me locked up in the house most of the time.

I realize that this is most likely an unreasonable fear... I just gotta work through it somehow... even if I started off just walking on the treadmill for a half of an hour a couple of times a day.... it's a start seeings how I hardly even get out for a walk.

Trust me, I know how pathetic this all sounds... but dwelling on that won't help me at all. I don't like being this way and it's not truly how I am, it's what I've become and I'll find a way to change it.

Nothing to upset me about bud, it's how you want to help yourself progress that matters. If you dod it in a way that feels most comfortale for you, you'll boost your chances of actually bashing on regardless for a long time, not just a few weeks.

For future referance regards the weighing, try to do that first thing after a toilet trip, when you do it once a week. This way you don't get any undigested food or retained waste, skewing the readings.

The main thing is though, to do something that feels comfortable so you maximise your chances of achieving what you want. This kind of brain dump system you're employing here is a superb way to achieve this improvment of achievement potential, so don't worry about it :).

Also forget about the so-called gosspiers. Let them talk. It's your life, your health and your body. If they end up one day having to talk about the things that ail them, you'll be the one feeling emotionally superior.

Good living should rarely have to be justified. A lot less justified than slovenly living. Just do what you know in your heart feels right for you and go for it. Procrastinate no longer and take that step, because it's within you to do it and you know you can :).

Good luck and be proud of making those first intial steps. Everything in the universe must have a beginning and this is your new dawn, so embrace it and don't be afraid to start living again :)

Cool idea with the booklet, those stories can be really helpful, especially in the beginning.
