exact thoughts, although I love greens, actually most all vegetables...and I can't wait for something to make body perk up! :)

The pulp could probably be used to make preserves like Marmalade for example.

Juicing could be a very good way to get nutrition if you have something like Gastroparesis, as that way the stomach won't be so full of things like Fibre and Cellulose, so it could give you most of the nutrient content, without the gastric emptying issues associated with such a condition.

Hmmmm, I'll have to look that up ?

Today's Workout

Warmed up with 50 Windmills, then leg raises, hip thrusts and oblique crunches.

Incline Flyes 3 x 20 - 8 lb DB's
Incline Press 3 x 15 - 8 lb DB's
Single Arm Rows 3 x 10 x 2 - 25 lb DB
Chin Ups 3 x 10, w/assist
Leg Ext4ensions 3 x 15 - 40 lbs
Squats 3 x 10 - 95 lbs

That's all for today - not feeling great, tummy a little upset. Not to mention right shoulder, still feels like it's going to fall off - cleaning and painting did it no favors?!?

Lesplease wrote:Gastroparesis is a neurological issue where the sensory nerves in your gut don't tell you it's time to keep movin'. Food will stall in the stomach and can cause early fullness, anorexia and vomiting, since as you add more food it backs up and comes out the wrong way! Common side effect of diabetes in older patients (:
I've never heard of that before -definitely NOT anything I experience. Thank you for the explanation.

Today's Workout

Jumped on the Treadmill for 20 minutes, Sprints - 8 Intervals

50 Windmills
Dead Lifts - 2 x 10 85 lbs
Incline Flyes 2 x 20 8lb DB's
Standing Rows - 2 x 15 8 lb DB's
Single Arm Rows 2 x 10 x 2 25 lb DB
Chin Ups with Assist 2 x 10
Lunges 2 x 10
Plie Squats 12 lbs. 2 x 10

I'm trying to stay on tract and do something every day - if I can just get back on that schedule, regardless of what I do I'll be halfway there :)
Hope everyone had a great day!

Today

Treadmill 30 minutes on the Fat Burning Program - felt good!

As you may recall I stopped using the treadmill and began using the elliptical because knees were bothering me. Well, I don't like the elliptical , therefore I'm not as inclined to exercise...this may be one of the reasons I've lost some of motivation. I've started back on the treadmill, making sure I'm careful with the incline level - I'm hoping this will help me move forward. knees are ok so far....

Have a great day!

maybe until you are more conditioned or your body adjusts to the treadmill, don't use the incline feature. treadmill's incline feature broke a few years ago, so I can't use it, I just vary the speed (as in HIIT intervals) and don't feel I am missing out any - I still get a challenging workout. Just a thought. 8)

I agree with Lynn.Someone asked me why I don't use incline for sprints & I replied " Are you kidding ? I'm not even fit enough for level ground yet ". :)

LOL~! If YOU aren't fit enough - I'm sure not! Ha~! Anyway, I agree with you both - the incline is what created problems for me. Actually it was after I did the "Fitness Test" on the Treadmill that ran for 5 minutes, but was at Incline 10 ~! Not a good move, but what did I know?!

So, moving forward with the treadmill for Cardio - I think it will help me get back on track, keep body moving if nothing else.

Thanks guys -:)

I recall that 15 minute treadmill test at level 12, left me with a bit of soreness the next day.

As stated on the Gastroparesis, it affects the muscles around the Stomach area, causing gastric emptying problems. It can sometimes be triggered as a side effect to taking medications.

An individual can have a gastric emptying test performed, if they or their doctor feel they may have a problem, but if you get it, it's generally for life.
