Good Snacking

Post by T.P.W. »

Hey Guys,

Due to up coming work commitments over the next month (funny hours etc.) I know it's going to be impossible to stick to any kind of regulated meal plan. Does anyone have any recommendations for good & healthy snack food to help keep up gains from the gym. Most of time is spent working from home so it's usually quite easy to stick to meal plan as everything I need is right in front of me, but this is the first time in ages that I'm going to be working elsewhere whilst trying to train and eat properly.

I'm trying to gain muscle so high protein snacks I guess is what I'm after. Nuts I'm absolutely fine with, usually guzzling them down anyway. The other obvious one to ask about is the protein bars that you can get. But seeing as there is a million and one of those to choose from, have any of you guys had these, worth spending hard earned pennies on?

Any other tips and tricks you guys can impart would be most appreciated. As I mentioned above, this is just for the next month so after short term solutions.

Thanks for reading! :D

thanks for the suggestions!

Can't say I've seen the meat roll idea before, but well up for trying it. I'm going to be trying hardest to sort meals the night before, but again it's going to be hard as there will be a few late nights followed by early starts (urgh...).

Will steer clear of the protien bars. If I know I'm not going to get the protein I need, I guess taking a protein shake will solve that problem.

So long as I've got food with me and avoid being in a hungry state all should be ok. It's when I'm hungry that I make the bad decisions  (junk food, bank robbery etc.)

Thanks for your time :)

Thanks, probably going to check out the local health food shop too, see if they've got anything that could be tasty and healthy! :D
