I know its hard to get over the concept of EATING to lose weight as it pretty much goes against everything that most of us have been taught about weight loss. However it really does work.. which is great because I sure do love to eat!

I agree with this! To weigh your food when you just start keeping track does really help. Eventually your eye will adjust to correct portion size. I made sure to get a scale that was accurate and mine also supplies info of calories for a bunch of different foods. Even easier!

Weigh everything you eat. You might be kidding yourself on calories.
Write down everything you eat. Go on-line and see what each item's caloric value is and add up your daily totals.
Writing things down does more than tell you how many calories you take in; it acts as an accomplice to your will power. You are less likely to cheat if you write things down.

That is great- congrats on the weight loss!
I am having trouble losing the weight I would like as well- but I think maybe I'm still taking in too many calories, not not enough unfortunately...but maybe I'm wrong? Why did the calorie increase help you to lose the weight? Is it because your body isn't storing the little amount of calories you had before? I'm confused.

Hi there
please, trying cutting down dinner then substitute it with fruits only and then finally have nothing at all. it worked pretty well for me. Just amazing how much weight can be lost, when people don't have dinner

No dinner, then there's a chance of muscle loss. No protein for several hours, promotes Catabolism. You get some when you sleep. So don't get a load when you're awake too.
Re: Im not loosing weight PLEASE HELP
No dinner?!? This is solution for weightloss?? :/
Re: Im not loosing weight PLEASE HELP
No it's not your solution. It appeared to be someone elses solution, to "weight loss", which lets not forget is a term that can include water, muscle, bone density and possibly connective tissues, not just fat.

Not liking options here! haha...I'm feeling hopeless at the moment- I think I will try not to worry too much about it until I know I can do something more, like a personal trainer (which has been one of the only things that has ever worked amazingly for me because they knew exactly what workouts would help me achieve goals) and get on a more regular routine once I'm back home. I will continue daily workouts as I have been and drink lots and lots of water along with regular diet...

I think you only need roughly about 2,100-2,200 calories a ay if you''re doing mild exercise.
You're getting 1,800, (the average for sedentary adult females), then another 300-400 for exercise.
Based on 2,100 a day, over 6 meals, it could work one of two ways.
1. 350 calories per meal.
2. 450 in meal 1, 350 in meals 2,3,4 and 5 and 250 in meal 6. As your Metabolism is higher first thing and tapers off in the latter stages of the waking day, you might favour option 2, but option 1 does allow the body to develop a good metabolic groove, by keeping caloric intake regulated and constant, no major fluctuations, which although is not the case after meals 1 and 5, there is a fairly significant shift in both instances of 100 calories.
This may help you to get a bit more clarity about how you could be eating, as you get a couple of options, not a whole slew, or alternatively one option only.
Hopefully that makes sense
