I know what you mean about identity crisis Sandie… but since you are working your butt off your whole body will change even that department. One time a friend of mine said “for being an Asian girl… you have a big bust and it’s not through surgery” I was going to slap him for saying that and being rude. But when I got to think about it… all girlfriends were like size “A’s and “B’s” but than again... I was 180lbs while they were 105 - 110lbs... Anyways… I was a 38C plus now I’m almost 36C…. ahhhhh….. I think it’s to do with a lot of fatty tissue maybe?

No matter what tho…. You have a hot body and a darn sexy mama!!!

Yeah, Iron, thread is the cool place to be! 8) You people really make day! Soooo, today I had to work but other than that was good. No gym today. Rest day! :D Tomorrow cardio!

I can't remember the times but looks like this:

Breakfast: omelette and strawberries.

morn snack: 2 cheeese sticks
nat pb and celery

lunch: turkey sandwich on wheat w/mustard

dinner: flounder w/crabmeat & brussels sprouts.

dessert: small hot fudge sundae w/ff ice cream. This was a big deal for me as I have hardly cheated but the kids really wanted me to have something with them so I did!

I know I skipped afternoon snack and usually don't have bread at lunch so was an off day food wise but def not the worst it coulda been. Probrably lacking in cals also. Will have a snack before bed to get a few more. Wow, that sundae was gooooood! No, I don't feel the least bit quilty! Hoping you all are having a fun Saturday night.

Well, another weekend gone by. Hope it was a good one for all of you! Foods for today:

Rise:protein shake w/water.

60 mins elliptical

late breakfast: mushroom omelette
strawberries

lunch: roast beef
green beans and carrots
salad
fat & sugar-free yogurt

snack: crab-meat & celery-yeah, sounds weird but I ate the crabmeat left over from last nite's dinner! Just lump crabmeat..yummmm!

dinner: salmon
brussels sprouts.

Ok. Looking at this I am thinking cals are waaay low! UUgh! Soooo hard to get enough in. Was running around with the kids today so not as regimented. Gotta think of ways to get more food. I will have a small snack before bed. Tomorrow is weights day. Yayy...NOT! So, I am not in the cheeriest of moods, guys. Sunday nites are a bummer and no sleep-in tomorrow. :( Time for bed.

Hey, Bonnie! Shoot, I forgot to mention was frozen yogurt. Kinda like custard out of a machine at Ole Country Buffet. LOL I ditched regular yogurts as they have too much sugar. How I miss them so! day was long but ok, thx. Yeah, I guess you can say I am not thrilled about weights days since getting up at 4:30 a.m. to get a$$ whooped by a trainer then going to work for 10 hrs is not idea of a good time. Whatever I have to do to get the job done, tho.

Todays foods

4:45 rise:protein shake w/water

5:00 a.m.: workout with trainer-full body & 20 mins kick-boxing

6:15 a.m.: protein shake w/water

7:45 a.m.:breakfast-mushroom omelette
oatmeal
strawberries

10:45 a.m.-2 rf string cheese
22 almonds

1:30 p.m.:lunch-1 cup chic veg soup
grilled chic w/ broccoli

4:45 p.m.-1 can tuna
celery sticks w/nat pb

7:30 p.m.:dinner-grilled salmon
broccoli

8:45 p.m.-45 mins elliptical steady

need a snack before bed. Not sure what, though. Maybe some peanuts? :?

Sooo, I must say I am exhausted from a day of workouts, work and eating!!! I hope you all had a great day!!!!! Nite.

WOW.....sounds like a full schedule. Your doing a great job. So does the trainer give you food ideas, or do they just torture you physically? Keep your chin up, and have a great day.....ok?... :D

Yes, Iron is a very full schedule. Throw a few kids into the mix and is insanity! It's ok, though I am a big girl and I can handle it. This is what life is all about. Striving and reaching for the stars. One word that cannot ever be applied to me is LAZY! I detest lazy people who complain about their fitness or lack of it. Our physical condition (barring medical conditions, of course) is one of the things in life we can change.....so do it!!!! I know a lot of these people. Especially at work. They complain to me about their weight and constantly ask me advice on diet and exercise. I tell them and 15 mins later they are downing a bag of chips or eating pizza! I give up! LOL Anyway, today is a much better day since I just finished morning cardio and now home sipping on a delicious protein/fruit smoothie I made while the kids are at school. Ahhhhhh! :D About trainer (who is awesome!), he pretty much just handles the exercise aspect of program. I get most of dietary advice right here on ShapeFit!!! I never knew how to eat until I came here. What a difference. Good advice and a little bit of discipline sure do go a long way!!!

Soooo, off the topic. TWIN sister is pregnant with twins at 45 years old!!!!!! WOW, I am sooooo happy and then kinda like...U CRAZY!!! LOL Our goals at the moment are sooo different! She is having babies and I am getting into the best shape of life! I couldn't imagine starting all over again. Now kids are older and can stay home while I can get to the gym. The beauty of middle age and I will take full advandage of it! Well, off to the rest of day. Some cleaning would be good. More cal burn. LOVE IT! :D

Your right about people that way, we just think everything has to taste like a Boston Creme, and I think we have programmed our taste buds to accept only that. Back in days when most people lived on farms, and raised there own food, they didn't have triple mocha latte's and the such, it was more natural foods. So to me we've done this to ourselves as a society, and you actually have to go out of your way sometimes to find good natural foods, the junk is much faster, and easier...just run to the drive-thru. I think your a great model, proving what CAN be done, if one sets there mind on it. You work, have kids, hubby etc. If anyone has a full list of excuses, it would be you, but you don't go there.

Oh man, I would SOOOOOOOO not want to be going in that direction either. As you say, the boys are getting bigger, and getting more independant, more able to do for themselves. Someone at Church said, "oh you two have such cute kids, you should have more"......NOT! Were they like trying, or was it a deer-in-the-headlights thing....

Thank you, Iron, no I do not go there. If I did I would be pushin 150 lbs by now cause I was heading in that direction. Yes, as a society we have trained ourselves to favor sugary and carby foods. Obviously not the way to go. I am glad we have figured it out! :D As for sis...actually she had invitro and this was her third try. She has 2 grown children from a previous marriage but her younger husband has none.

I love your positive attitude about life and reaching for the stars...you are so right...what are we waiting for? Now is the best time to do what you want and need to do to be the best you can be. I think sometimes people get stuck in a rut and always think that "one day..." they will miraculously just become this new person, they don't realize that it doesn't happen overnight and that it takes a lifetime commitment and continuous work. It is easier to just sit on the sidelines and watch others lose weight and get in shape, while they continue to make excuse as to why they can't, or won't make those same changes.
You are proof positive that if you want something bad enough you can make the sacrifices and change necessary to achieve it. You have a very full schedule and you manage to balance it all - so you prove IT CAN BE DONE!! You go girl!
Okay, now I've gotta comment on your twin sister....WHAT?!!!! Twins at 45? I am very happy for her as well... but like you I am SO glad son is older now and I can relax a bit as far as "Mom" duties go. I spent the first few years of his life, after he could walk, literally running around behind him with arms out - ready to catch him, or deflect him from corners, cabinet edges, fireplace bricks, glass doors (he fell into our sliding glass door when he was 2 and shattered the glass , but thankfully it didn't collapse) so...now I could not imagine going through those years again and at the age I am now!!! But everyone has different desires :D I wish her all the best, best of health and a happy pregnancy :D
