100 Pushups challenge

Post by lilesy »

hey everyone, i saw this 100 pushups challenge on the internet and thought i might give it a try seeing as i'm into pushups more these days.

It has a program designed to help any person of any level get to 100 pushups. However i'm having a bit of trouble sticing with the program even in own skill level.

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts are about this program and whether anyone else has attempred it?

thanks in advance

Jeez 100 push ups sounds like a ton. I was actually thinking about this recently because of the "Workout of the Day" (shown below)I saw on on http://shareitfitness..com/. I thought it sounded impossible...for me of course. As for the hundred push up program...I guess with a 6 week training program its attainable but is it really worth it to train your body to perform just this ONE exercise?

800 meter row
80 pushups

600 meter row
60 pushups

400 meter row
40 pushups

200 meter row
20 pushups

Time and to be completed as fast as possible.

I read about something once and even tried it, called the 100 reps challenge.

Bascially a 44lb, (20kg), Olympic Bar, curled for as many reps as possible.

I managed about 36 reps. The guy who posted it, claimed to have achieved about 130 reps. Reckoned it also had something to do with Bone density as well as strength and power. Made Biceps feel like they'd been stabbed with a sharp stick for about 5 minutes  .

Fun to do once every 3 weeks or so, now and again as part of a workout, but haven't done it for years. Think I did it twice.
