one of friend does cardio and weight training in the morning and then also goes for a walk about 2-3 miles and goes for work out like pushups, crunches, chin-ups, sit-ups and lunges in the evening.
He eats all the right stuff and all. I told him he is doing wrong but he tells me its intense training and not over- workout. and he does it 6 days a week taking sunday as off.
is he doing right or am i somewhere wrong?

Re: intense training or Over-workout!?
the evening thing won't be nothing for him
if he's trying to gain muscle then he's using valuable growth calories
if he's trying to lose fat then i guranetee he's not eating enough to even fuel his body so he'l burn muscle soon if not already
good luck to him

Re: intense training or Over-workout!?
sounds like the second session is more of a calorie burner.
I would say thats quite intense.

You can train very hard and over- train; and you can train just as hard and not be over-trained. It all depends upon how you prepare for the workouts and how much sleep and rest you get.

ohh ok thank you.
So it depends on how much you eat and sleep too.
Just a general question How much time should you usual sleep for good muscle growth. I sleep 6 hrs in da night time and 2 hrs for nap time
is that enough?

If you are training hard, then 1 to 2 extra hours of sleep per night will usually cover it.badversion wrote:ohh ok thank you.
