It depends on your history of training. Do you have a history? Have done any form of Cardio / weights recently?

What does your diet kind of entail, and what sort of shape are you in now?

These might give us insights into how to proceed, as I don't want at this stage, to write stuff, and then have several "yes I do that" kind of responses.

So anything you can tell us about your current physical and dietry regimen / physical state, would be useful I think :).

for "model" looks you'll need a split program probably as you'll need to emphasise certain areas over others...there's a program callecd "2-pds of hollywood muscle in 12 weeks" or something at t-nation that has a "model" specififc program in it

If you're getting back into it, I would recommend you start with a total body workout 3 times a week, and don't exceed 2 sets per muscle group.

You're going to need to adjust your body back to weights again.

You don't need to be any specific weight ,to start working with weights to knowledge, anybody can start, as long as someone is not so overweight, they need winching out of bed, or they need one of those specialised obesity wheelchairs, because thay can't walk at all, then weights should be okay.

I would also say for your needs diet wise, you should go for about 1,800 calories a day. I don't think you'll need to go over that level.

That promted me a question. I was starting out exercising again, with 4 days a week to the gym (with walking/jogging class 2 times a week which I missed last week and one time the previous week + I missed 2 days to the gym all because I was reccuperating from motion sickness going to the hills as a backseat passenger the previosu Sunday) where in the beginning, I wanted to be careful and so didn't so fully body weight and did half body every alternating trip since membership is 4 days a week. I alsp missed going tot he gym in the 2nd week after I started because Ineed to rest shoulder for Myofascial pain. I should have gone in for cardio but I love weights and so a trip w/o weights seem not worth it.

So ..only last week on the weekend, I started fullbody.

Overall, I have been feeling better within 2 weeks - remember I had sedantry life workign out of home - and now in 4 weeks, still haven't lost any weight. I tried to eat 5-6 times day but when recuperating form motion sickness, I didn't keep that schedule even when I was hungry - frankly, I hate having to eat so often. I am back to eating again,

I am in Sacramento, CA and may be body is holding onto fat to fight the cold. I do have poor blood circulation. Age might be a factor too.

Do you think I should join the gym 7 days a week and do weight everyday to see weight loss...soon. ( attempt to get inot free weights at home is facing the obstacle of getting the right locking bars.) I definitely do not want to lose muscle. This week, there's no walking/jogging class on Monday I did play some tennis (more like lerning) and I will miss wednesday class, going out of town.

May be I'll work on getting those locking bars by going out of town an shopping for it. I want the kind that the gym has.

On Mon + Wednesday, I can do weight and then go to the walking class.

I would say, don't exceed 5 days of weights a week.

You need some time, at least one day potentially better with two days, not back to back though, where you do no Weights / Cardio at all.

Okay, then. I'll just tick with 4 days a week gym membership.
