230 pounds to 173 pounds?

Post by whiteboyloser »

First of all congratulations. I have a question for you, because i lost the exact same amount of weight as you did, that took me 6 months to lose. question is, after i lost all the weight, i never got a wash board stomach like you. I still have a little bit of loose skin. I have talked with people and they say that it is something that will always remain. Is that true? I continue to strength train 4 times a week, and i have a physically demanding job during the day, 10 hour days 5 times a week. I eat clean, weigh myself once a week to make sure i maintain current weight of currently 180 pounds. I am 6'1. Could you tell me if there is anything else that i can do in order to achieve that flat stomach like you have?

You know, I don't really have the loose skin but I do have small stretch marks on the inside of upper bicep. Abs have nothing to do with weight though, they have everything to do with body fat. I first noticed abs starting to come out when I started running. I always tell people when training them, the quickest way to a six pack is on a treadmill not 1,000's of sit-ups. The muscle is in there, we all just need to burn off that layer of fat covering it up. Diet and cardio.

swanso, i know i train hard, and i think i train smart. Here is the breakdown. I have a physically demanding job in construction landscape that i work 10 hours a day 5 days a week. I workout in the evening, the only time i have to workout when i get home from work. workout starts just after 9pm and i am done by 1030pm. Monday its chest, back.........Tuesday its shoulders, triceps, biceps...........Wednesday its legs.......Thursday is the last workout of the week where i do chest, shoulders, back, biceps................I only workout 4 days a week in order to balance out priorities in personal life. Please let me know if i am doing anything wrong, or that i can change to improve results.

How long did it take you to go from 230 pounds to 173 pounds?

weight loss was much slower than yours also. I went from 230 down to 210 for a year, then down to 180 for a year, then back up to 190 for about two years and finally down to 170-something (right now I'm 178, but I've been trying to put on muscle...). That slow steady weight loss could also account for the lack of loose skin...

Whiteboy, what is your calorie intake every day? Have you tried carb cycling? HIIT?

Forget Carb cycling, it's too hit and miss.

It's basically where you have some days with more Carbs than others, it makes no sense and doesn't really work too well, as it just doesn't allow your metabolim to settle into a nice rhythm, which in mind is better for you, having a good regulated diet, that has similar levels of Macronutrients per day, every day, so the Metabolism is more regulated, and not a bit up in the air.
