Does anyone have any problems with breast implants and exercising? I'm concerned about jogging, but also lifting and just sports in general. If you get the right sports bra, will that solve concerns? Also, do they affect doing bench presses or other chest exercises (does it affect the muscle in the surrounding area)?
Do you have any tips if you have them? How long did it take before you could start working out again after the surgery?

Well, I never went through it, but it would be ill advised to bounce heavy benches on your chest.
And note that when women with implants become excessively lean the implants start to look excessively fake. You need a thin layer of fat over your body to make the implants seem authentic (assuming you are in a bikini, or just lounging around naked).
So the only responses I'm getting are in jest from guys... Seriously? I mean, if we're here, we obviously care about our bodies (physically and aesthetically).

I personally have never heard of any problems with then. In fact I know of a 45 year old American woman who did a BB contest last year, also did one this year about 2 weeks ago, got another comp in 3-4 weeks time, and she has them.
Not sure how long, but there has never been anything she's mentioned, to say there are any issues regards direct Chest work and implants. If you're concerned, you could get a snug fitting Sports Bra, just to be on the safe side, if you think possible movement of the implants might be an issue.
Certainly I don't think you'd have problems jogging, as she also did a 5k a couple of times in the past, but the S B, might just be something to consider anyway, at least incase there's any possible chafing issues, if you're concerned about that.
It would depend on the implant size too, and as Packard says the kind of fat levels too, as possibly, but I wouldn't know, if the levels of fat round the edges, might have some impact on the cup size you choose.
You can tell me to go mind own beeswax if you like, but is this something you've considered doing or have already done?

Okay...I'll bite. I have them and have no issues with working out whatsoever. I run, lift, cycle, swim, bench press, and you name it....the girls are fine. Nice supportive sports bra when you run or lift.
doc prescribed no heavy lifting for 6-8 weeks. I was walking on the treadmill after 2 weeks. Heed the advice of your physician as you do not want your incisions to tear. After 10 weeks, I was lifting, running and working out like I did before I had them. Mine are placed under the subpectoralis muscle which as a mammography tech, highly recommend. They are easier to examine and mammography wise, easier to displace and get good mamm films. Although the FDA has now re-instated silicone implants as safe, I still got saline. If any chance of rupture, only water would be released and absorbed by the body. Still not comfortable with silicone implants. Hope this helps! Let me know if I can answer anything else for you
