Cardio if you don't want to lose weight?
I have drastically cut cardio down to doing very little because I don't want to lose more weight, actually I think I am too thin. I know it is probably important but how much should I do for overall health without losing more weight?
You only need to do something like Interval about 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes.
P.S. for give me if I'm sounding intrusive, but I noticed you say you had Osteoperosis. That's a really tough thing to have coped with. Most people with Bone density issues at your age, would have Osteopenia, so obviously Osteo is a hrd thing, but to have done what you've done and turned it around, is a truly great thing, and you should be very, very proud of that, and it shows, as well.
I think you look really feminine, young and healthy.

as you're probably thinking of cardio as running, cycling etc i'll say you don't need ANY!!!
weight training trains the ehart just the same and it isn;t the respiratory system that decides oxygen demands, it's the muscular system...if they don't move then there is no requirment for o2 meaning anything that requires the muscles to be used with intensity will train the heart
if you're worried about losing wt then i wouldn't really do any if i was training you

Thanks so much for the comments! SERIOUSLY after having 4 kids and being almost 40 never thought that I would be in the shape I am in that is why I am trying so hard to maintain and even improve what I have done. (Plus, the osteo really had me scared, dr. is very happy with me right now.)
And I am really concerned about dropping more weight because I know I don't need to.
The only cardio I am doing is a quick warm up on the elliptical before each weight training workout to get heart going and blood flowing but I was just concerned that I needed more than that but I won't worry about it.
Thanks again!
