MultiVitamin
I know you should get your vitamins from a healthy diet, but many MDs recommend taking a multivitamin. What should I be looking for in a multivitamin? I heard Vitamin B5 is good to take, i have never seen that in a multivitamin? does anyone know of any good vitmains that have 100% of what is recommended?
Multivits top up your vitamin intake, but beware. As I explained to someone else recently, some vits / minerals, are detrimental when overconsumed, I.E. Vitamin K, which I believe is slightly toxic in higher doses.
If you use a Multivitamin, I would suggest sticking to half of one. I don't think you'll need a full one, and have it around Breakfast, so you regiment your consumption of the Multivit. That time of the morning would make it easier to remember to take it.
One of the best ones I know of is one called Sanatogen Gold. It even preports to have Lutein, which is something found in certain foods, Egg Yolks being such a source, and that's something your body doesn't produce, but it can help combat Macular Degeneration, (weakening of the eyesight).
So something like that would be a good choice for you.
