Agreed. Most if not all products with the words Ab or Abs in them, that you just buy from home shopping channels, shops, or internet sites, are just plain crap, that do nothing and couldn't give something virtually fat free like and Ant a 6-pac.

Ab Coaster CS2000

Post by FitSupply »

I work for a company that sells fitness equipment to gyms and apartment complex fitness centers. Ab Coaster is one of our products we sell and so far we've had some really good reviews on the CS2000. We only sell full commercial equipment, not the "as seen on TV" junk. Ab Coaster makes a full commercial Ab Coaster for about 1,200 bucks and is really heavy duty.
I've set up about 20 of them so far in gyms and you can tell they are built very well.

LINK REMOVED

The full commercial version has standard olympic sized posts to add plates.
Take a look at the photo see the black posts on the seat? Just slide plates on there.

You can buy weight plates anywhere including walmart.
I sell em too LINK REMOVED

Hope yall have a nice day!

You might sell them, but not on here.

Checked one link, and just because a physically fit looking person is seen using one, doesn't mean they would normally.

I don't care how well it's constructed, or what it is made of, it's still crap.

For the most part, Abs make Abs, machines don't.

The point is not who uses it, the question was is it junk or not and how would one add weight plates to it.
Also links were to provide visual information, not for sales purposes.

I agree the home version is junk, however the commercial version is a well built product, even if no one would ever use it, or if its crap =)

Not necessarily, but it is a sticking point, if people who don't use it are seen in photos using it anyway. I'm not saying anyone in the photos using it wouldn't normally, but it doesn't prove they do either.

Plus you can do a lot of bodyweight stuff, or stuff involving Swiss Balls and Medicine Balls for Abs, without spending $1,200 for something.

A leather Medicine Ball or a Swiss Ball costs a lot less than $1,200.

Your product however well made, doesn't and will never be anything close to the tried and trusted methods.

You've created an expensive product for a niche market, that is for want of a better phrase, nicheless.

Point well taken about tried and true methods for a good ab workout such as swiss balls and such. =)

stick to basics often the best

Post by TKDMom »

Hi,
New to the site. Seems like most people want to work on their core body, myself included - predominantly to help support a back issue from a car accident in college (too many years to count). Obviously cardio and keeping the weight down is beneficial, I take TaeKwonDo with husband and two sons three days a week. I've done Yoga on and off for numerous years, did it every week prior to starting martial arts. The basic crunch and leg lift is great to start. If you're not at that level, look at getting a stability disc that you can sit on, it's amazing how having to make those minute adjustments can work you. Balance boards are good and work in a similar way. I found good ones at www.Winning-Fitness.com the stability disc is great for kids with ADHD (had read some research on it) to help them stay focus and gives them that little bit of fidgit that they need. kids can't sit in any kind of chair to save their lives, they perch like birds most of the time. The discs are great. 7 yr old literally has an 8 pack! We were blown away. He heard us talking about 6 packs and saw his 9 year old brother tighten up ... it took him awhile to figure out how to do it... and then there were 8!!! He still brags. Too funny. Hope this helped.
