Does water make you thinner?

Post by Baseballkid14 »

I've lost 3 lbs in the past three weeks and have been lifting heavy trying to bulk up. I have been drinking around 6 - 8 bottles of water daily. It doesn't make sense that i'd lose weight from exercising... so is the water to blame? Am I drinking too much of it? Note: Cardio is not included in current workout plan.

I am eating a lot but not keeping track. Mainly sandwiches, fruit, chips, lots of meat, cereal. At normal times.

Why doesn't it make sense that you'd be losing weight from exercising? Exercise burns calories which in turns burns fat.

If you are lifting heavy and exercising that will speed up your metabolism and burn calories it make sense you are loosing weight.
Water is excellent for you. It helps break down and digest your food more efficiently and if you are replacing other drinks, sugary drinks, high calorie drinks with water it will help you loose. One key to successful weight loss is limiting your calorie intake from beverages. Many people consume hundreds of useless calories a day by drinking them. Water is smart!

you really should be keeping track of what your eating. and you should try eating at the same time everyday, if its not consistent then your weight is bound to yo-yo from time to time. if your trying to bulk up you shouldnt be going longer than 2 and a half hours without eating.

theres your problem. add at least another meal in. why dont you eat after 6.30pm? you should be having something to eat at night, especially if your trying to bulk up. what do the meals look like?

cereal? if your on a bulk then cereal as a meal just wont do. it should be something like chicken breast and veggies. same with every other meal, solid protein with veg. il give you an example of food for the day, not the best but not the worst either:

5.45- rise, immediately eat a bannana and have a protein shake.

6.00-2 or 3 weetabix

6.30-715 *workout* sipping protein shake throughout

7.15-sugary weetabix(then go for a shower)

7.45-3 scrambled eggs, spoonfull natural peanut butter.

10.15-fruit,usually an apple

10.30-mince with lots of veg mixed in

1..30-chicken breast and veg

4.30-chicken breast and veg

6.30-whatever the girlfriend makes, usually meat and veg or chile,or something similar

9.00-varies by what i feel like but it will be similar to whats above.

1. What are "Weetabix"?

2. What am I supposed to eat the peanut butter with?

3. I can't eat anything at 1:30, still in school.

4. Chiken is one of the only meats that I don't care for.

Weetabix is a wheat based breakfast cereal.
I eat peanut butter on whole grain bread, wraps, celery sticks on apple slices whatever sounds good to you.
Find your own eating schedule. If you can't eat at 1:30 just make sure you are eating.
If you don't like chicken eat lean beef, turkey, pork, fish, salmon, tuna and so on.

sorry keep forgetting, i dont think you get weetabix over there do you?

like littleshelly said just fit it around your own schedule, even if you have to "go to the toilet" to get out of class for a few mins, get some food into you then. to sum up make sure your eating regularly dont go longer than 3 hours and have at least 6 meals in a day.
