I know i know. people are probably asking " who's this idiot and why's he asking all these questions?" but let me ask you this and i'll be quiet... till next question.

im kind of streched out standing at 6' 4". and have a real challange getting results with arms. I always thought it's because of gumbi like physique that makes this a diffucult task. can some one tell me whats the most effective bicep workout?

curls and chin ups. Make sure to do Low reps, and heavy weights.

You ask as many questions as you like. This forum is to get help and its a bloody good forum. Anyone who gets annoyed shouldnt be here. Ive never known any1 to get annoyed tho. :D

There is the matter of physics that would make it difficult for a very tall person to lift a lot of weight.

It is in reference to a lever arm. A person with a forearm that is only 12" long will have an easier time lifting than a person with a 14" long forearm. It is like the teeter-totter at the playground; you could move the see-saw board to the right or left to balance out different weight kids.

Your muscles should get just as strong, but the poundages moved will be less than a shorter person.

I guess you could have a surgeon remove a few inches of bone in your arms and legs, but I think you are better served learning to live with your height.

Tall people can get very muscular. 40 years ago all basketball players were tall and lanky--some were very skinny--none were very muscular. If you look at the basketball players of today you will see some heavily muscled players. It can be done. Look at Shaq for an example.

chinups are superior to anything else.

make sure and get your form spot on, then add weight when they get too easy.

then come back and thank me when you see results :wink:

Im 6'9 and have the same problem. You really need to attack not only the biceps but the tri's and also shoulders to get 'big arms'. To pack the muscle on you reallly need to tear it apart which means heavy weight and low reps. make sure youre eating enough as well because those of us that are a bit taller than average with a thin build dont always get enough protein to rebuild what we're tearing down. Its gonna take a lot of time though with a taller frame. Think proportions. You can have a 14" bicep and a guy 5'6 can have a 14" bicep and his will look a helluva lot bigger.

yeah, i tend to shoot for 10 reps for most of any set im doing. like its a magic number or something. gotta get out of that mind set. maybe shoot for 6 reps with heavier weight

you can always try to do 5 or 6 sets of your max by 3 reps as well.

eat 50% more then your doing now and take out all curls and start deadlifting

for a 1" arm size increase you need to increase overall bodyweight by 10 - 15pds
