chest exerises

Post by zet11 »

What are some good strength training routines to get rid of a saggy chest? ( on a 42 yr old female trying to lose 80 lbs and tone up too)

diet totally stinks. I need to work on that. I have been going to the gym for about 3 or 4 months now. I do intervals on the treadmill for 20 minutes 4 days a week. 3 minutes at 2.3 mph, 2 minutes at 2.7 mph at 3.5 incline alternating the whole 20 minutes. I use the Hammer Strength Machines.

strength training routine, not necessarily in this order is as follows.

leg extensions 45lbs 2/10
kneeling leg curls 20lbs 2/10
abdominal crunches 20lbs x 20
Iso-Lateral Triceps Extension 65lbs 2/10
chest press 30lbs 2/10

Iso-Lateral Biceps Curl 40lbs 2/10
Iso-Lateral Incline Press 20lbs 2/10

Iso-Lateral High Row 30lbs 2/10

Iso-Lateral Row 40lbs 2/10
Iso-Lateral Shoulder Press 20lbs 2/10
back extension 55 lbs 3/10

Pushups have been mentioned, and are probably the best (or bench presses if you have the equipment).

A boxing speed bag give a good upper body cardiovascular workout and works the shoulders too. It can be very noisy and you should consider that if you plan on using a speed bag.
