I have a friend who was in a bad car accident and his right arm is pretty messed up. He's as recovered as he will ever be and wants to start getting some exercise again. He asked me what kinds of things he should be doing. Obviously I told him to start with his diet, but he wants to try to lift weight again. He can't really do anything that involves lifting heavy with both arms.
I was thinking he could start off with lower body exercises, but what about upper body? Does anyone have any ideas of exercises he could do?
Need help with exercises for a friend

he'll have a lot to address then:
- side to side imbalance in arm strength
- side to side range of motion in internal and external rotation
- side to side shoulder
- side to side hip
- he'll also have a a shit load of scar tissue in there which will require deep tissue massage to break up then stretching to increase range of motion
does it hurt to pressure on or actually hold, lift stuff?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll let him know, especially about the massaging.
