i only work out twice weekly .. in the gym and when i do i take a dose of protien powder bout 3 grams in water..an hour before .. this is 4th week.. and already i can see major changes to pectorals.. lats. biceps.. im 17yrs old. 5ft 10 and weigh 180lbs.. and the gym instructor has measured body fat percentage to be just under 11% .. biceps have grown half an inch from the begining .. which was 15 and now it is 15. n half.. chest is now 35 before it was 33..

i guess for me .. the heavier weights and lower reps and sets did work...
i do eg.. 50kg bicep curl, 4 reps, then 45kg, 5 reps, 40kg 6 reps until 30kg..
i do the similar sort of things with bench press.. and various other upper body excersices.. *always pick about 80-90% of your max weight and go down from there.

Good for you. If it keeps working keep doing it. Everyones different so one persons physical response to something, may be greater / lesser than another persons, but you seem to have found a groove so stick with it, and just keep putting the time in.

Just be mentally preapred for a slowdown in progress, or a plateau, it will happen but then it may well be a diet thing that keeps your training style producing more results.

That's often the case from the experience of mine, and other peoples responses to plateaus.
