uneven pectoral growth--please help

Post by jankyjameson »

I've been doing push-ups and working out on a machine in apt complex for about 2 months now, and left pectoral muscle seems to be getting bigger and stronger faster than the right. This is strange to me, because I am right handed. The difference is not that much, but definitely noticeable visibly and by feel. Anything I can do to remedy this?

I find myself trying to put more emphasis on the right side when I do push-ups now, but it seems to be only working the muscles in arm and shoulder more. I can really feel it in left pectoral when I push-up, but hardly at all in right. Somebody please help, this is really annoying. Anyone else have this issue?

Try doing exercises with dumbells. This will make each arm work on its own without relying on the other to "help out". Examples might include military press, dumbell flat bench press, dumbell incline/decline bench press, dumbell rows.

Hope this helps balance things out for you! :)
