Post by swanso5 »

This took me ages so hopefully it's good...

Fat Loss Training

Alright let’s get straight to it.

There are a lot of fat loss myths out, dietary and training wise. There is also a lot of methods for fat loss but they all get back to this:

“Principles are few, methods are variedâ€

For the metabolic circuit part:

Metabolic Circuit Options (M)
1. Hang Cleans x 6 / Bench Press x 6/ Burpees x 20
2. Waterbury Rows x 15 / Shoulder Press x 8 / Flying Step Ups x 15
3. Renegade Rows x 10 / 3 Point Row x 6 / Swings x 20

How many sets?

depends on what wt you use and how long you can go for...3 at least, 6 if you're a machine but keep quality up...4 - 5 will work best for most i'd say...there comes a point where you can't burn more cal's in a certain time period so doing 10 won't burn as much fat as 5 neccesarily

Ok well that makes sense. But does this makes sense...would it be a good idea to continue a sort of bulk and very very slowly decrease cals until I can work chest again?

it's hard to bulk when you can't lift everything at a maximal wt and tyou can't bulk when decreasing cal's either so you're a bit all over the place there...

here are your options:

1 - bulk with a claoire surplus
2 - cut with a calories deficit

you can't mix and max

training wise it doesn't really change a lot except you play the density game...you might even buidl some muscle at the same time from the overload and muscle demand

probably employing some of the methods above would have yu burn fat/gain muscle at the same time without a calorie change, ecspecially if nutrient timing is correct

I learned alot from your article. I've always wondered how exactly your body burns the fat. anatomy book and Teacher couldn't tell me it that in depth.

Now its time for me to put this knowledge to use

Thanks for that article swanso! That was great... very informative. I think I'm going to need to read it a couple more times for all that to sink in. It really helps to understand exactly how and why this stuff works instead of just knowing that it does.
