gaining weight during exercise?

Post by monsoonn »

Hi there, i have been working out for a month now and eating less...
I have been doing abs, arms, legs, back and run 3 - 4 times a week..
But for some reason ive been gaining weight... i went from 75kg to 81.
Is that natural?

Im 180cm

Yes, you're probably doing things like burning muscle, which can lead to fat gains.

You eat less, then do loads of weights and running, but cause a starvation mode to occur in your body. You're probably trying to burn calories your body can ill afford to, and that's the problem.

I'd say cut running to 2x a week not 4, keep weights same intensity and if needs be bump cals up, a bit depending on what you eat and how often you eat

Just like boss man said... you could be putting your body into the "fat-gain starvation mode" by not eating ENOUGH so...

Go here to see exactly how many calories you need to be eating to lose weight fast

Remember: permanent weight loss = slow & steady fat loss of 1-2 pounds a week
