Eating right to build muscle

Post by GuavaGirl »

I do a lot of cardio and I'm almost happy with figure, I'm still hoping to loose another inch or so around midsection and more importantly gain some muscle tone. question is how important is it to eat every 3 hrs. and to have protein at every meal in order to see some muscle definition? I cannot maintain that type of diet even though I know is hugely beneficial when trying to build muscle (I have a stomach condition and often have to skip meals because of stomach pain). So I'm wondering if it's even worth it for me to incorporate strength training into daily regimen. Will all efforts go to waste because I can't feed body properly?

Yes, do strength training. Strength training is important for each and every person to do. We lose strength and muscle mass as we age, making us more prone to injury and less able to do tasks independently. Why is it that you say you can't maintain this diet? Practically no one's lifestyle makes it eay. It just has to be made a priority.

Whatever you have going on,just do your best to eat as often as you can, and balance meals with carbs, protein and fat. Let me know if I can help more with ideas.

try protein shakes for the times your stomach is sore for easier digestion but don't gat all your protein from them
