Bulking but not working??

Post by Mr Me »

the diet currently eating:

7:30am meal 1: 5 Vitabrits with skim milk and Shake (WHEY PRO ELITE 80 with water.).
10.00am meal 2: 4 Egg whites, 2 Pieces wholemeal bread and an apple.
12.00pm meal 3: 100g Chicken Breast with lettace.
2:30pm meal 4: 1 can of tuna with 1/2 Cup brown rice.
4:30pm -workout-
5:30pm meal 5: Shake (WHEY PRO ELITE 80 with water).
6:00pm meal 6: 1 can of tuna 1/2 cup brown rice and lettace.
8:00pm meal 7: Fish or 1 can of tuna with veg / salad and carrots

i have been replacing the beef with cans of tuna since beef is getting expensive for me to buy all the time. So i replace beef and chicken breast sometimes with cans of tuna since its cheaper.

problem is that i am getting any bigger or loosing fat. I check against mirror to see any difference from the last 3 weeks and doesnt look like i have lost any fat. I think i am getting some mass because i am able to lift more and more each week but i am loosing weight. When i started i was 74-75 now i weigh 70kg. What am i doing wrong?

give it time...you won't see anything happen if you change it up all the time...give this plan a go for 6 - 8 weeks and then we can make some changes...we need to find what works for you...i think sarah posted it last week or so that it took her yrs to find out the right muscle gaining strategy for her so you can't expect to find it in 3 weeks...tuna is a good choice but maybe 2 tins a pop but i'm not sure what size they are...at 12"00 meal replace lettuce with 1 peice of fruit (any)..have you got any carbs in your post workout shake? if not get some in there with some dextrose or maltodextrin powder (i think that's what they're called)

Hi there,
you're doing a good job and making good food choices. True that it can take quite a bit of time to find out what works best for you. You may need to increase your calories a bit more.
I was also going to ask if your shake has any carbs? Carbs are vital post workout...especially if you want to gain muscle.
Good luck!

Sarah
