We have people over this weekend. niece might go to the UK for college all 4 years next year. i think she would be lonely but it ties in with her major. If she does i might go visit her and make a month out of traveling and seeing some of Europe sometime while she was there. hopefully she could come with me but i otherwise i would go alone. :)

That would be so cool, Bekah, to go to the UK to visit your niece and travel around. :sunshine:

"Lirping" is a new one on me, Boss, but I'm glad to increase vocabulary. Now I can refer to someone as a lirper when I mean rude and arrogant! :D

Still working on bathroom, so I'd better get back to it! Happy Friday, everyone!

Hi ladies,

Been a busy week and I see I have a lot to catch up on......

Bekah gotcha on the head down...yeah I have done that too when I am upset.

Thanks on the good sleep vibes, was good for a while but this week no so much.

So did you enjoy the eclipse? We didn't bother had no glasses, etc plus not much going to show her anyhoo.

YAH so nice to see you here. Wishing the kids the best with the move and hoping eventually can find a nice new home too. Glad DH got to help out with the paint cans.

I see that Bekah knows the place where your son is working at. Wow kudos to him on the ride to work. I did that for the garden center job I had as it was before I got a car too.

buddy in HS, Debbie and I used to walk from house to her aunt's which was a good 15 miles away. We took our time and many times stopped for a soda or something to eat on the way there. (Sshhhh many days we cut school to do so LOL

I see that Henry is having a blast playing with his "tenny balls" it's a Lab thing....Alex loved his, he'd mouth it while we worked on the 55 Chevy and Buddy Max loved his too. Our Viszla, Brandy like the squeaky toys and Cassidy loved his Lighthouse and barbells. Since she was "trainer" when I worked out, the first time she saw barbells she went over to it and I said to her "No Cassidy, they are metal and heavy, not a toy....she had such a sad look on her face, but she did manage to push it...as if to say....I can still move it LOL Though Alex liked his barbells too. Whenever he got one he'd bring it to me and we had to play the bar game. One end in his mouth and the other in hand while I sang the bar song to him.....he was such a cork!

Yeah we love our tunes don't we YAH.....yes some good nights and bad ones.....such is life with "old age" LOL

We didn't bother either, YAH and same goes here no a fan of big crowds any longer either.

Yeah HUGS on the winter Eva.....glad I am out here, as many times ours doesn't start to mid to late October. Some years hasn't come till November. Plus nothing like you get and we used to in Rochester. No snow here at all. Just rain and fog cover.

I see it was a nice day Monday, Chris and you got a very nice walk in too. Thanks Chris, I did a very nice "me day" on Sunday.

Yeah YAH, RockinCWife was NOT a happy camper with all the nutso's out and about viewing it. She felt the same way Chuck and I did....been there done that 4 other times in our lives so no biggy!

Good for you on the bouncing. Yeah me too this week as I hadn't done squats in a while so still feeling it today LOL

I see you are cooling off and we are just the opposite....we will be heating up to 106 boo hiss...more energy needed and good ole PG&E will be laughing all the way to the bank.

I hope all works out for DS and DIL in the long run and they can live in the U.P. eventually. Sounds like a nice place to work and area there...so that's good.

HUGS on the walking YAH and the memories....Glad you enjoyed the comics YAH. Wow congrats to you DS and BIL on their 52nd anniversary.

Oh I see the stray showed back up.....hope they can get there to get him/her and find it a good home.

Bekah I have seen pics from YAH on Mackinaw City and yes am familiar with the Bob Seger song as it's on the cassette we have by him that is now in MP3 format.

Chris, it wasn't one for us either. Glad you got to go to bagpipe practice and kudos on getting in more notes than ever before. Nice you got to get a nice walk in during the planned outage. Mmmmmm love smoothies. Yeah very little sugar in mine. I was a strange kid as didn't like "super sweet stuff"....go figure LOL

I see another nice walk for you home. Oh I love Bonnie Raitt....so I would of liked the concert. Plus it was FREE favorite 4 letter word as you know LOL

Oh our a/c has been on since May (if memory serves me) we put it up at night but it's still on. Goes off in late September and stays off unless we get a "heat spell" which has happened over many years and back on it goes. Once cooler temps are steady our "anemic heat goes on".

Hi Bama, so nice to see you but know you have had a lot of "stuff" going on for you and your providing help for family. Glad to hear DIL is doing well with the knee replacement surgery. Hope the staples came out and she was able to get back to driving. I see you have helped out grandson and DIL with the driving.

Glad you got to join the Y and the classes are going so well. I am with you Bama, much before earlier in the a.m. to get workout done. Then I can move on to the other stuff in day.

Hope the other class was as good however, I don't blame you wouldn't want to drive that in bad weather either.

Kudos on the walking as your cardio and the Challenge. We have Planet Fitness here also and the surrounding cities too.

Wow on the kids being dropped off and parents leaving.

I see hubby is staying home....does he go to the gym too or do other stuff????

Same to you Bama, have a nice weekend.

Molasses, sorry you didn't get to see the eclipse....it is cool but since we both have seen 4 in our lifetime and our area was not very good anyway....no big thing to us.

On the glasses, won't go into it all here Molasses as I will send out weekly email tomorrow. Rides were great....glasses not so much.....

I see we have the same fondness for country western singers too, plus I love Tammy Wynette also. Plus Donna Fargo's The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA. Plus Johnny Cash in the department and the list goes on....LOL

Yikes I can't say I blame you Molasses. I belonged to a gym long ago (another one of mother's bright ideas) mind you she got to go during the day while I went to college, then work and then to second job and the last thing I wanted was to go to a gym to workout. However, I did and since I knew equipment was used by others. They too had wipes, rags and spray stuff...so was the first thing I did before using it. To me it's responsibility not trainers or workout staff.....it's not like a janitor didn't come in to clean after it shut down.

Give MBUN big hugs and kisses from Auntie Sue.

Bekah I see like me you would clean the machine also.

I see you are having company this weekend and your niece might go to UK. Oh you will love it over there Bekah, I did both there, Spain and Germany and some of the countries in between. They are very fond memories and times for me.

Yeah I thought the same thing Molasses, I could call them a lirper LOL

I see you are still working on the bathroom....hope you are all done soon.

Well off I go for meds, breathing and a lay down......yummy fish dinner tonight and we hope to get the new Fast and Furious 8 in on the CSBM network.....

Wishing everyone a great weekend.

Well I wouldn't necessarily do that, as I don't know if a person doing what I said is called what you said.

Becky, not sure when you were going to your Grama's but I know Labor Day, the big bridge is all closed down to traffic this year from 6 a.m to noon! All for walkers only, so there might be a big hold up there but hopefully you were going before Labor Day or after:) Have a good trip and so much nice scenery along the way too:) I have not been even close to it for a long time. We would take US 2 once in a while when going back to Dearborn when we lived down there but mostly took the upper roads and the Seney stretch etc.:) Guess the Vets hospital where Dh goes once in a while, in Iron Mountain is a bit closer to that highway also.
Mo, sorry about the woman there at the Y and I wouldn't do that either. I'd clean it before I went on anyway:) But none close to here at all:( Getting your bathroom finished up yet? Wish i could do that kind of stuff but not anymore I guess so nothing gets done and too much cost to everything it seems too:( Enjoy your DD's visit:) sis went through with her driving her to Marq. but they did shopping and she had left her dog home up north so by the time I heard about it, I told her she should have brought her dog here, but then I told her she better get going home as she left at 12:30 and was about 7 pm when they left Marq. and its a few hrs. so they got home at 9 pm but her dog Max was good and out he went:) She can leave him loose in the house and he just sleeps on her bed until she comes home. Although she usually will take him farm or somewhere else to just run around. I told her she gets out more then I do with her hip surgery even:) She does drive herself also now as don't have to use the left foot:)
At least today finally youngest son's house is not their house anymore! All done and sold so they can relax. Will not be looking for a house probably for a few years until they know where they might settle later on.
Bama, nice to see you as I'm like you and tend to disappear once in a while but not to report on too much exercise either. Only the little bit of bouncing and trying to use legs more.
Sorry about not getting the glasses Sue either and hope you have a good sleep tonight though. Chris, you are doing great! Enjoy the weekend everyone and scary to see that hurricane by Texas! Glad none of those up here! take care,

Just a funny thing Sue, Loved that song and probably was singing it a lot at the start of that year but ironically got married at the end of it:)) Not too smart I think:) Thanks for reminding me of it:) Hope you get some good sleeps this week now and the AQ gets a bit better out your way too!
Becky, wow you've walked across the bridge twice already! Great! I've never been inclined to;) And don't like the crowds anymore either. take care.
Mo, I see your on to getting the bathroom done so good wishes on that too:) Bama, I saw some of those geese statues online also but they were Big ones and I thought of you and your goose:) Hoping your DIL is healing fast on that knee surgery also. Chris, keep up the walking and hopefully good weather for it. We've had rain since last night and all day and high of 60's only and humid and we did have some frosty nights also:( I don't know when summer was? Well I am slow poke I guess as will send a bday card to DB tomorrow On his day, as I sent a card on DIL's day or day after since it was on last Sunday. I didn't always to family but at our ages, might as well:) take care all and have a super week!

Hi All,
Let's see what have I been up to? Well DH and I took friday off and we got in a nice long bike ride. I can't remember how far or the time it took us. Saturday we were both tired. :? Not sure why but all we wanted to do is sleep or sit. So we rested all day. Yesterday we were much better. Sunday I got out for a 30 minute brisk walk in the morning and then DH and I went out for an afternoon hike as well.
Thanks YAH I will keep moving if I can.
Mo, I agree that is too rude to ignore. Sorry that there are people out there like that.
Becky I hope you enjoyed the family visits.
Hi Bama I am glad you are still moving and grooving. Good luck with trying the other Y.
Hi Sue! I hope you had nice weekend.

YAH i grew up spending time in the summer in northern mIchigan all life. :)

i uploaded the converted jpg format to pdf to create space. I ended up using this website.

https://smallpdf.com

they have a converter but it doesn't say how much dpi is in it when it converts.

We will find out in 24 hours if the book is accepted. Fingers crossed. We will get a rough draft mailed to us first to see how we like it. :) it has been fun to do. So see how it turns out. I'm worried the measurements aren't right. then i don't know what i will do but i will figure it out.

110 wow. It's still warm here in the next 6 weeks the temps will go down quite a bit. We can have snow in October... Good luck on the blood tests Sue!

Sue when you convert a jpg to pdf would it change the dimensions of the jpg photo? or should they stay the same? If you don't know it's okay. :)

Happy Tuesday All,
45 minute walk today! :D It is a lovely day out there. Tonight I have to put on kilt and play with our group in front of the downtown crowd. No one is judging so it should be fine. Although I didn't get much sleep last night because I couldn't turn off brain. I just found out last night at practice that I would be joining the gang on the stage. SURPRISE! Well it will be an experience anyway.

Congrats on getting the book approved Becky! Good luck.
Good luck with the blood tests and shopping Sue.
Have a great day all!
