Good Morning and Happy Tuesday all,

Sorry I have been missing lately . Just not a lot for me to talk about . I think we live a boring life . LOL not really but not exciting .
Well I finally went to a running shoe store and was measured for the proper shoe . They were very nice , the store is called Up and Running such a cute name . It was in a town about 30 minutes away so stopped at some other stores while in the area . i bought Saucony a really nice shoe . I was allowed to keep and wear for 2 wears to decide if they were right for me . At the cost of 150$ that was nice. i did just that and had to take them back as they really rubbed one ankle bone. Some of you may remember that I broke every bone in ankle a few years back and that ankle bone is twice the size of the one on other foot so that was the problem . They were very nice about taking them back . Ended up picking up a pair at the local Meijers(michigan based stores) AScis and they seem to be working for me . Have started getting back outside . Next on to the Dam's walking trail '

Chloe got a different cast on her arm yesterday only a half one so she can now bend her arm . All is healing ok . Pictures on facebook .

Stephie the other granddaughter is doing well in her basketball. We have gone to a couple of games. It's quite active. They are called Dayton hoopsters and travel to different location and States. Will be going to Va. in July . and that will be it for the summer then she will be playing at the school for the winter . There are are videos on facebook if anyone interest . She is quite tall for a 12 year old way over me and her Mom . Her Dad is quite tall so she takes after him .

Dylan the grandson is going to the Prom this Saturday . Wow the prom is early now . ours was always in May . Grandkids are growing up and i don't see the older ones very often . But that is a teenager for you . They don't want to visit grandma .

Happy grand puppy is still a lot of fun to be around . He is now 1 year old and I still enjoy him very much. Still only 5 pounds .

Hubby still does his thing what ever that is. LOL.

friend Sue (the one we go to dinner with and gives us all the sweets) grandaughter is in the hospital for a kidney transplant and bone marrow this month . She was born with Fanconi and only supposed to live untill the age of 12 but will soon be 17. A very tiny person but attended regular school and is loved by all . If you will keep her in your prayers or thoughts

Well I think that is all the news here . weather has been great in the 70's and 80's .

I will try and get caught up with you all's posts later today .

Morning ladies,

Grocery report has been sent along with the other happenings.....

No worries, Bekah on the oxygen. I see your mom and I shared the love of church. I was so happy when I finished the confirmation classes and the next Sunday would be first to take Holy Communion. I was so excited LOL

Yeah I have the Greatest Hits by Billy Joel also, plus more...LOL

Oh Bekah, I played It's Party to death and sang along with it....drove dad batty. So when she came out with It's Judy Turn To Cry....I told dad....I was switching favorite song...he said Thank Goodness....LOL ( I emailed you the rest of the story)

Yes, love music. Plus I sang in a band with some friends in High School we did weddings, anniversaries and parties out in the Hampton's. Talk about stuck up people but they paid well LOL Plus I got a lot of nice outfits LOL

Oh I like Pink Floyd too!

Bama, was wondering where you were at.... Oh you life isn't boring. Nice shoe store. Glad you found another pair that worked for less though. Enjoy those walks.

HUGS to Chloe on the cast. You will need to send me some pics.

Glad to hear Stephie is doing so well. Oh we loved Virginia, Bama, traveled the whole state and ended up in Grad school at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg....talk about a beautiful area.

Wow that is an early prom date, Bama, yeah ours was in June. Sorry about the visiting Bama, I loved going to see mine.

Wow hard to believe Happy is a year old already.

prayers and wishes go out to your friend Sue's granddaughter.

We are headed to the 70s today and then the 80s also.

Kudos on the bike ride Saturday, Chris. Glad the visit to family went well also. I see a nice walk at lunch on Tuesday too.

Well I am off to do other checks, eat, vacuum and the list goes on...

maybe it's just only a few songs that have a long intro on pink floyd. i'm not sure. I'm still listening to the best hit 2 cd's. i kind of fell in love with high hopes and have been ignoring the rest of the cd so far..

neat that you sang in a band Sue. really cool. I'm sure that was a lot of fun. I'd never heard it's judy's turn to cry before. i will have to ask mom if she knows it.

i have read half of the grocery report. i will read the other half today. Sorry the fridge is smaller than before. you made me laugh at a joke or two you
said but i can't remember what it was.

i'm not playing pink floyd on the piano right now. i'm playing stairway to heaven instead. it's really an easy version and i can play it now already. But it definitely doesn't do it justice like the guitar does. pop songs especially the easy versions often don't sound good because it's a lot of singing sometimes the same note on the piano over and over. and rock sounds again maybe it's just the easy version don't sound good because frankly if it was wrote for a guitar it just sounds so much better on a guitar. That's opinion and i'm sticking to it. :P

have a nice day.

I think judy and her should both dump Johnny if you want to know the truth. :P there seems to be a lot of drama over johnny. :Hahabonk: I've been a bit guilty of that too though.

Have a nice weekend Sue and everyone. :)

Happy Friday, lovely ladies (and Boss)!

Bekah and Chris, I think I agree with you on Johnny. :funny:

Stairway to Heaven was our senior prom theme, Bekah. I hand-drew the little guy with the lantern (from the album cover) on about 100 programs (silver ink on dark blue paper--very nice, if I do say so myself!)

I had several Billy Joel albums, too, but don't have any of his music on CDs. Might have to rectify that one of these days. :) I had never heard of The Hassles. I think I've probably said this before, but I am a fan of singer-songwriters. So many people can sing, but not too many can write a good song!

I'm sorry about your fridge dying on a weekend, Sue. :( Nice that it's provided by the management though, so you don't have to pay for a replacement.

Glad you were able to return the Saucony's, Bama, and that you found a pair of Asics that feel good. I had ordered a pair of Nike's from Dick's online because they looked a lot like old favorites from the early 80s, but was disappointed when they arrived yesterday. They don't fit right--not enough width in the toe box. I have a wide forefoot, and I like room to wiggle toes! I can return them to the store for a refund, so will do that next weekend.

I'm happy to hear your grandchildren are doing well, and hope you get to see more of them once school is out. That is an early prom. I think ours were late in May. I like seeing pictures of your grandpup on FB. (And Chloe, too, of course! I don't think I've seen the other two but I don't spend much time on FB so I think I only see about 10% of what friends post.)

Too funny about your dad and "It's Party," Sue. :funny: Something similar happened at our house-- mom's brother gave us a little portable record player and a bunch of 45s when sister and I were about 8 and 9. We played "Devil in Disguise" so many times, dancing around room, that somehow that record mysteriously disappeared and Mom had no idea where it could have gone!

I'd better go get a few things done. We had to run to the vet this afternoon to pick up more Revolution for the pup-monster, and then to T-Mobile, which was a waste of time as after patiently waiting turn for 10 or 15 min., I found out they do not have the phone I want in stock and I have to order it online anyway. I am bummed to have to replace ancient cell, but apparently they are updating the network and phone's operating system is so old, it will be very slow on the new network, and also won't get signal from all the available towers so reception then becomes patchy. It will be nice to be able to download a few apps that I've wanted that aren't compatible with with old phone though, so that's the bright side.

Another bright side, although nothing to do with the phone: the lilacs are blooming, the lilacs are blooming! I was afraid our goofy weather was going to ruin the display, but they are glorious. :sunshine:

Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Good job you clarified what you were doing on that site, because the name of that site is a bit suspect :wowzer: :funny:

:Hahabonk: I know--I expected the error code! The old site we used to meet on would not accept anything like Dick Clark, etc.

Afternoon ladies,

Glad you are enjoying Pink Floyd, Bekah. We did wedding, parties, etc. It was funny as I was at friend Tommy's house and they were practicing and got a call and their singer was moving or something...went wrong...can't remember.

So Tommy volunteers, Sue can sing and I gave him a look and he says "it will be fun" we are doing all your songs. So I tried and Bob came with the lyrics and I said I don't need it for this song, it was a Carpenter's song and I had their 45s plus all their albums and knew them by heart. LOL Had a lot of fun and did it for a couple of years.

Oh Bekah I love Stairway to Heaven am a big Led Zeppelin fan.

LOL I agree with your opinion.....

Yeah I am with you Bekah on dumping Johnny.....

Oh have another for you.....Johnny Angel sang by Shelley Fabares (from Leave It To Beaver) fame.....another of best favs.....

Chris, sounds like some good walks to me. Yeah I wouldn't stick with a guy like that either.

I see you concur too on the Johnny verdict, Molasses.

Oh how nice Molasses. Did you take a picture? Me too on Billy Joel and I agree so many can't write them.

Two of favs (along with Chuck, friend, Debbie and other friends too) were Harry Chapin and Jim Croce) Debbie and I were out when we got the news that Harry had passed. We pulled over, cried and went back to her house. Same with Jim Croce was so sad when he passed also.

Complexes out here provide appliances...PTL Yeah still wish we hadn't gotten the one from the model as it's a old model, one we had before and were NOT enamored of. However, if luck goes as it does this one will go and maybe we will get a new one.

LOL Molasses on "The Devil in Disguise" by Elvis. I have that 30 song album which is now MP3'd LOL However you know what a die hard Elvis fan I am....and lucky me got to see him every time he came to the Garden.....thanks to grandpa! LOL

Sorry about your phone, Molasses, hope you can find another.

Oh I love lilacs....sniffing away here LOL

I can send you some of our beautiful sunny weather and in the low 80s today.....

Like your Molasses, I got the error code for Dick Van Dyke all the time.

I am with you Bekah I couldn't have done the napkins either.

Well I am off to comics, some articles and then meds, breathing, etc.

Wishing you all a nice weekend.
