" for a beginner who wants to build muscles"

Witch one lol cause if you want to train your total body (witch I recommanded) YOU'll need a barbell + bench and at least 150 pounds or maybe less if your ,hum, skinny.

For the dumbell I guess it's for your biceps exercises ... don't worry about them for the moment and start by working your leg, back, chest, triceps, shoulders and then biceps with chin ups simply. With a barbell + the bench you'll be able to have a huge amount of exercises taht you'll be able to do. Just search for them. If you want exemple :

Deadlifts
Squats
Bench Press (wide Grip)
Bench press (close grip)
Stiffed Leg Deadlifts
Dips
Push-ups
Lounges
Step ups
Frog Jumping
Barbell Row
Bench dumbell row
Millitary press
Etc.

I'm sure that others on the site will give you advice and the best you know what, go look in other posts.
