Happy Monday all! :D
Last week I met goal of walking to work three days. I also got in some walking during lunch. So I plan to keep that up. Just got back from a 30 minute walk today. :thumb: It is nice and sunny with a brisk wind. We are having above freezing day time temps, which is nice. From the looks of it we have lost 3 feet of snow (just a guess). It is much easier to see traffic now that the snow banks aren't too high. The roads are mostly bare and the side walks are cleaning up nice too.

Congrats on meeting your goal, Chris! :sunshine:

I am sorry about your automotive troubles, YAH, and hope your DH can get them fixed without too much expense. Yes, the Versa is a small Nissan--mine is a hatchback. I'm glad you are feeding that poor cat, and he (she?) has found a warm place to sleep. :chilly:

We probably won't put the house up for sale for awhile yet, Bama--maybe in 6 or 9 months. Lots of things to do first! I hope you can find some comfortable shoes at the running store. Yay on the goose! The table will probably be the same--the perfect one will turn up eventually. :)

Hi, Sue and Bekah.

We had a nice, springy day today--I had laundry on the line, so you know I was happy! Rain tomorrow, and then chilly again after that. I made mammo appt finally--I'm a few years overdue. First I have to go pick up the films from the last one but I have two weeks to get over there for that.

Happy March, everyone~

Good Morning , March is off to a wet and windy start here in Ohio. I finished Leslie 28 day challenge and I will say I am proud of doing a workout everyday . Some days were more than a one mile and some were only a mile but I did a workout every day . Now on to March. No definite plans as we are taking a trip this month and being on the road I will not be able to exercise some days. Today 1 mile mini with the super walks and Billy Blanks 20+ minutes of strength training. This is a very fast strength workout and makes you sweat also. It is on you tube if any one is interested. Enjoy the day and remember to keep your body moving . Sad to say but only lost 2 pounds but that's ok cause I was not in control of food intake and that is just as important as exercise . It's 80% food and 20% so this month I will concentrate more on food . Got a food journal all ready .

Yah, so sorry about your cars , ours are old also . Can't afford new ones anymore and of course we wouldn't buy a new one if we good. LOL. I do also no longer go to the pool but it would be fun to take water aerobics . i took it years ago and enjoyed it. It is pouring down rain here again this morning . I thought it had stopped but no . At least it is not cold out. I haven't been to that book store yet but want to get there.

Yes friend me a goose so I am busy sewing . Just something to do. I need to keep busy so i don't eat all the time.

Sue hope you are feeling better and getting some sleep .

Chris glad that you made your goal. Sometimes you have to push yourself to get moving.

Mo, we did a lot to our house in Bama before we sold it and it was on the Market for awhile . I do miss Bama though . It's such a convenient town . Everything you want and need is within 10 minutes of drive. Oh well , I am starting to get use to everything here again.

Something is going on with our oldest grand daughter . She is 12 and on the path to woman hood if you know what I mean and since that has happen she is missing a lot school . Just really cry's and doesn't want to go. They have and i too talked to her teacher about it but she says all seems to be ok or that she is not being bullied. She is a tall girl and strong so hard for me to think that it is bullying . On a happier note she is being recruited for a well know basket ball team(here locally) so that is nice for her . Say a little prayer for her if you will. That is really a hard time and age for some .

Going to Joann's today , big sale on . They are the only fabric store around here now . Hancock went out of business . Well we have Walmart but they are limited in the fabric department.

Hi Becky hope all is well with you.

Time to mosey on . have a good day all.

Good morning All.
How are you all doing? week is moving at a good clip. I walked to work on Tuesday and wednesday (and home again) but I missed lunchtime walks those two days. I decided to drive to work this morning as it was raining and I don't like to start day with a damp outlook. I started some seeds this week. This makes husband laugh as we still have full snow cover out there. It makes me happy to see the green things growing. music practice is going well but like everything if I had more time...

Great job on the two pounds Bama and the challenge!! Even if I don't loose any I tell myself "where would I be if I wasn't exercising?". :D So glad you have a goose to sew for. Enjoy! Oh I hope you can figure out what is going on with your grand daughter. Tell her parents to check any social media sites. The bullying could be online. Such a hard time for them.

Good to hear from you Mo! Laundry smells so much better off the line. :thumb:

Hey, Sisters,

Hope you are busy and getting things done, Sue, and not having problems that are eating into your time. Sending hugs and warm thoughts~

I started tomato and pepper seeds on Monday, too, Chris, but need to buy some more Jiffy Pellets this weekend. I have a whole pile of seeds: cucumbers, melons, zucchini, flowers. . . . We can usually plant out mid to late May, which will be here before we know it, I'm sure. Yay on getting your music practice in.

Great job on your challenge, Bama, and the 2 pound loss! So sorry to hear your grand-daughter is having a rough time. She might not be physically bullied, but as Chris said, mean comments online or in school can be just as upsetting, if not more, because they're hard to defend against. Does she have any close friends for support? If she won't talk to her parents, might she talk to you?

I finished 30 days of not eating sugar, so of course I celebrated today by making cookies! They weren't overly sweet though--the recipe is 1/2 c. PB (or other nut butter) mixed with 2 T maple syrup, 2 T gelatin, and 2 T coconut. I got 6 cookies out of the dough, and pressed 3 choc chips into the top of each, and then sprinkled with sea salt. Bake at 350 for about 12 min. They were very good, and I don't think it's just because I was desperate for a treat!

Wishing everyone a great weekend~

Dang--I forgot what I logged on to post! I wanted to mention a website a friend told me about called goodreads.com. It has book reviews and articles on authors and that sort of thing, but they also have book giveaways that you can enter. I just won a book the other day, and thought maybe you all might be interested since I know you read. They'd like you to post a review after you read the book if you win, but I don't think it's mandatory.

Hi ladies,

Been one of those crazy days....here's February report and God willing I will be back on track on Monday.....

February Report

February went very well once I did a change up of workouts since I had issues with bands on furniture and thereafter the workouts went great. Just didn't feel well that Monday evening so went to sleep instead.

Back on track on Feb. 7 with workouts till February 17th since the night before no sleep again so too tired for workout. Did fine till Feb. 24th when had another night of not much sleep and pain from the work I did the day before. I also realized I continued weeks 1 and 2 workout into the third week so finished off with them instead. Got sick over the weekend and so the week of Feb. 27th I stopped work outs and luckily I was better by the end of the week so I hope to start back up again with March workouts on March 6th.

Start date for March will be March 6th For MWF mornings weeks 1 through 4 MWF will do another fav from WHM Flat-Ab Pilates (Mermaid with ball, footwork on ball, swan on ball, mermaid with a twist, back arm rowing, rollover, roll back and up and coordination with ball; MWF evening Self's sexy arm shape-up; and T-Th again will do jog in place/walking/dancing for some cardio.

Food goals: Food goals have not changed but remain the same...continue to take vitamin D, and keep up the increase in the fruits and veggies in diet, and try some different type of veggies, which we have been doing well with. Also continue to try out some different recipes, which had we are bound and determined this year to do better with. I will also continue with the getting in chocolate several times a week. PB is no longer an eating option for me. As for desserts we have made a switch and am keeping portion controls as I need to. Our soups mixed with egg noodles are working out great giving up lots of veggies and the sauce is already included; in addition to getting 2 dinners out of a can. Plus tummy likes it too LOL We will continue to have them over other types of noodles, like little farfalle and ditalini pasta too.

In addition we have a number of ideas for different bases to go over pasta, making casseroles, etc. Plus making calzones, and pastry filled with vegetables and other filling to add to our diet for even more variety. We did a test one and it worked out great.

Trying to continue a variety of foods in our diet. Doing very well getting fish into diet having it on most Friday's and have also been getting it in during the week also. In addition adding diced peppers, potatoes, corn, spinach and other veggies to go with the fish has worked out well too. Still have had to be careful on portions as stomach still rebels on occasion, hence no weight gain in 2016. So will try again for 2017 and slowly increase portion sizes to maybe put some weight on. Wish me luck.

Afternoon ladies,

Molasses, yes I slept Friday night but didn't feel well at all...did too much Friday and I then did the top to bottom bathrooms on Saturday so by the end of that and all the floors too well I was burned out. Plus food I ate didn't agree with me....Chuck said I ate way too fast in the afternoon. Dinner Saturday night made it worse and Sunday was still not well. Hence no workouts this past week.

Us too Molasses, rain and then a couple nice days and this past week just gorgeous, no rain and sunshine and mid 60s and later this week 72 on Thursday...just gorgeous.

I see you got your weeds done...we have to tackle the "jungle in our backyard" this week hopefully after shopping.

Us too, Molasses, comfort wins too and usually looks means more dollars LOL

Yeah Bama, the lack of sleep is familiar to you too. I see you got a 70s day too. Lots of snow in our mountains. Yeah YAH's area is getting hit with a bunch of snow.

Hope the shoe place works out for you. I am zipping up about Alabama and walking year round.

Sue people do good things Bama...don't ya know LOL Oh no Bama, you left your goose gal....can't believe he didn't bring it back.

Boo hoo to your hubby, what a wonderful thing for Sue to do....sew away....he's just jealous. Good luck with the table. What type are you looking for.

Yuck on the foot of snow YAH, boy I don't miss that. And upstate NY is getting a LOT this year. Bummer on the sled race. I see a very Happy Birthday celebration will be held for the kids. Glad you got to see your DB and SIL. Sorry to hear about hubby's truck and your van....hope they both can be fixed.

Yeah that's what Chuck says I get enough of a workout cleaning. I will start doing regular ones again this week.

Yeah lots and lots of rain....so much they had to drain some out of the reservoir here and put it elsewhere. Wouldn't have to if we had more storage....mind you they have needed it since we moved out here in 1985. DUH

Hope the cat is alright and I see he comes out and eats the food you are leaving.

Give Henry a big hug and kiss from me...and hopefully he is not pestering you too much LOL

Congrats on meeting your goal of walking to work 3 days. Plus lunch time too. Glad some clean up was done. We always liked that too. Much easier to park. Luckily we had a big heavy Lincoln Continental...but still had to walk a good mile to get into the hospital entrance to get to our respective departments. Sometimes more if we had to park further away.

I see you had a nice spring day this past Tuesday. I so miss line drying stuff. Yeah I have to do mammogram appointment too. I have to go every year since I had to go for the surgery and removal on left side years back. Plus this year is bone density test too. Will be calling this week to schedule. As got another call that they heard from primary doctor...I am assuming with the bone density form. Good luck with the films and your mammogram.

Bama, I see you are off to a wet March. We got some last night and today but then supposed to be dry the rest of this week. We shall see. Kudos on the Leslie 28 day challenge. Have a safe trip and a fun one and kudos on the workouts.

I am with you Bama, I'd buy an old one not a new one today. Way too expensive to get simple things done that you can do yourself with old cars. They bury the air filter towards the bottom in so many cars and trucks so they have to dismantle it (more dollars for them) to replace it.

Thanks Bama, yes finally doing better today...and no sleep last night but did sleep Friday night into Saturday.

HUGS to your granddaughter Bama....know she is in prayers and I can remember friend having a hard time also...but she finally adjusted...she just might need time. Kudos on the recruitment. Wow I remember Hancock....glad you still have Joann's.

Glad your week went well Chris, plus got your walking in sorry about the lunchtime ones. Don't blame you on the rainy day taking the car. Good luck with the seeds. Glad the music practice is going well.

Thanks for the hugs and warm thoughts Molasses. Yes I got things done just a bit more slowly. Good luck with the seeds sprouting...I miss that.

Chuckling over the cookies after not having sugar for 30 days.

Thanks Molasses, we have it as Chuck found it on one of his other sites. And it's a wonderful site.

Well I got all stories done today as I did comics last night after finishing book and also a lot of stories.

I did send out the wonderful ones....hope you enjoy them....

Well off to play some games before, meds and breathing.

Wishing you all a good Sunday evening and a good week.....

I hope the bone density test works out Sue and whether it's a T-score or a Z-score, hopefully you'll be somewhere between 0 and -1.

Morning ladies,

Well had to make a change to monthly workouts as I realized this a.m., I needed to inflate the ball I use for the workout but couldn't find the pump....so will do Mari Windsor Pilates for Pink workout instead this month and do this months' next month.

So for today.....

Morning workout Mari Windsor Pilates for Pink Workout Arms, legs and abs with resistance band. Today will do sculpt arms, (will do warm up, workout and cool down) For the evening, Self's sexy arm shape-up

Off as with the change and having to find Food Journal that mysteriously disappeared (luckily I do back ups every week) whole morning is discombobulated LOL

Have a good day,

Sue

The 404 error may be in relation to one or more words, or a combination of words that tech people put on a website block list a few years back.

I had that happen once and I had to use the preview function and parts of the message to see what could and couldn't be allowed, eventually it turned out to be a combination of three consecutive words, that separately or used 2 at a time wouldn't flag, but that combination of all 3 flagged.

Bossman, I will just say thanks so much on the bone density. I had more to say but that's what's giving me the 404 error. Just know I appreciate your thoughts and words.
