Hello everyone,
Ok I have been at this fitness thing for a while with ups and downs along the way i started off doing walking DVDs and things like that and now im on the treadmill i started at 2.2 and gradually worked self up to 3.0 for and hour now i am trying to fugue out how to make sure im getting the proper weight loss benefits from the treadmill for the last two days i have been walking at a 7.0 incline for 10 minutes at 3.0mph then i walk at no incline for 5minutes then i put the incline back up at 7 for another 3 minutes till i reach 20 minutes then i rest for 20 minutes and do it again. the thing norditrack has more kick then old treadmill which i could do 3.5 mph with this new one i can only do about 3.2 mph so i decided to add an incline.
So i was wondering at weight at 325 and i can only go 3.2mph on the treadmill how can i mix things up to burn fat and lose weight what type of treadmill workout should i do.how can i push myself.
note hear rate when on the treadmill is about avg 176 max 246
thanks guys brandon

Simply put the treadmill on an interval setting. It might be all you need.
I think you might be alright for a level 5 based on what you have been describing, but if not take it down to level 4 and stick with that for a few sessions.
