Seems a little high rep for me, but with a couple 35's and maybe 30 - 40 reps when I can't make it to a gym it'd give a nice burn.

Getting an effective legs workout

I don't have the time or money to incorporate squats and or deadlifts into every one of leg workouts. I'm generally able to once a week but it takes me convincing old football coach that I won't sue if I get hurt every single time. Anyways, to put it bluntly, is it realistically possible to consiste...

Just finished the 8th week of the program, had to test out as required by gym class. Otherwise I would've waited until the 16th week was done, anyways I had some tremendous improvements and would suggest the book + program to anyone. Squat: 1 RM Before - 335, 1 RM After - 455 Deadlift: 1 RM Before -...

I've got pneumonia right now, but once I'm feeling half decent I'll be doing test-out's and get started.

Actually, I just realized I could always just go to high school's weight room and they've got everything I'd need.

Alright, thx. I'd inevitably need heavier weights at some point anyways so I might as well pick up sooner than later. I'm low on cash as of now, but if that's all I really need (along with the foam roller) I could probably start it fairly soon.

Good to hear, I've read most of it twice now. I'm pretty sure I've nearly memorized the nutrition section. So far I've simply been trying to start workouts with the warm-ups. Equipment-Wise I'm lacking a whole lot. If I was a little closer I might try and do replacement lifts to make up for what I c...

http://thefitcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/ms_final_cover_resized.jpg I got this book for Christmas, and just finished reading it. I'm going to wait to actually do the workout plan until I get to College (I'm a senior in high school). Since currently I don't have even close to the equipment n...

Smith Cage and Bar - haven't had success doing deadlifts or cleans with it. 35 pound dumb-bells. 8 pound medicine ball. Adjustable bench. Then weights, I have 2 45's, 2 35's, 2 25's, 4 10's, and 2 5's. In regards to the squat, to start it's a box squat rather, which I find to be much easier, nothing...

And to explain the max squat of 430 I had a grueling legs workout 2 days a week for the last two off-seasons for football. Like I had said I decided to take a break from legs for the past few months because I wanted to waste some of lifting time on looking better after football season. Stupid? Yes. ...

It's just a lack of equipment for the low weight on the rows and shrugs. If you noticed it's almost all 35's for those because that's the only weight I have for dumbells.

It's a shame, and ineffective because of that, but I'm just doing what I can with what I've got.

Feel free to say whatever you want about the routine, good or bad. It's worked wonders for me but it may lead to early death or be setting me up for inevitable failures that I don't see coming. I'd like to know if that's the case, lol. If it's worth noting I almost never feel sore the day after a wo...

A typical week of workouts

Before I start I'll give you all some background information. I'm a 6'0 180 pound 17 year old. I've been lifting for 3+ years and really enjoy it. Currently one rep max for bench is 305 and one rep max for squat is 430. Also, before I get into things. I just finished last season of high school footb...

What are you going for with your program? If you're trying to get better at sports specifically like most kids that lift at you're age then I wouldn't reccomend this program. But if you're just trying to look good so you can get girls and stuff this should do alright for a while. If I had time I'd t...
